Talked about or hyped?
Post some links then ![]() I love music, predominately rock music, but I became bored with it. For some reason, I can't quite put my finger on, this band struck a chord with me. The image this band has, doesn't fit with the music they play. Check wiki out to read about them. |

Pleasant enough sounding but not worth the hype. I think the disguises & deliberate obscuring of who they are is rather clever though. It makes people curious. It just strikes me as artificial though. |

I know, instead of discovering good music people would rather talk about Paris Hilton! Oh well what can we do about it!?

Where does the 'stoner' bit come in? Just sounds like early 70s metal to me. Oooo, got Shine on now. I think they just went back to '68 lol ![]() right, ignore my previous question about 'stoner' . Three minutes in & it's obvious this track is best enjoyed with copious quantities of Red Leb & some sandalwood burning in the background

Do you have the new Tomahawk CD? I've not picked it up so far. I loved the first one, the second had it's moments, and I never bothered with Anonymous. It's not really hard rock, but I always thought this was pretty intense on head phones (particularly the end).

I've decided this thread is sorely in need of some tracks from the mighty Swedish war machine Sabaton.
First up, one from their first demo, recorded 2001 (I think) The Hammer Has Fallen I can't get over that voice coming out of a 21 year old ![]() From their first album Metalizer - Burn Your Crosses Then they discovered war. Primo Victoria (D Day) Attero Dominatus - The fall of Berlin Cliffs Of Gallipoli "There is no enemy, there is no victory. Only boys who lost their lives in the sand" ![]() Passchendaele - The Price Of A Mile "Six miles of ground has been won. Half a million men are gone.....What's the price of a mile?" Uprising - The Warsaw uprising 1944. The battle for Stalingrad Screaming Eagles US paratroops at the battle of the Bulge. Try headbanging to this one & your head will fall off ![]() Now we go back to the 17th century & the rise & fall of the Swedish empire, from their latest album Carolus Rex Lion From The North Title track Carolus Rex And I'll end with a couple of fun pieces from earlier albums. See how many metal references you can spot ![]() Metal Machine Metal Crue You're welcome

Which song/s got you into this sort of music? I grew up listening to irish, country, soul and pop but one day a lad at school played me Phantom of the Opera - Iron Maiden, i had never heard anything like it, i was hooked after that.
