Been on a trash kick lately, stuff like Pantera, Slayer, Megadeth, Arch Enemy, Susperia....

Didn't see a metal thread last time I visited the music forum so this is a nice thing to see. Big fan of metal, old and new (although I dont know alot of the new stuff to be honest). Thrash, death, power, black, classic, speed, sludge, doom....you name it. Just thought I'd pop in with a random and fairly pointless little post to say ello to fellow metallers.

Also, picked up the new Down IV EP and it's great stuff, more along the lines of Bustle In Your Hedgerow and NOLA than the third outing in my view, which is a good thing.
All are welcome

Sorry Tbh, I don't know enough about Thrash to know if it was supposed to be good or not. I just found it down the sidebar of something else I was watching.

Well, you can get your own back & laugh at my guys now. I'm screaming like a total fangirl atm because I've just found the oldest footage of Sabaton on Youtube with one of their very earliest tracks & boy, are they raw, lol. Still wonderful though It's from about 2001 & they're just babies (about 20)

Still, their hearts were in the right place - bemoaning the fall of metal & the rise of pop & hip hop "Have we been broken? Did we go down? No, we'll never fall. We're the masters of the world"

ps These days they actually play Europe's The Final Countdown to the crowd before they come on stage

Ha ha! And I was I just wanted to mess things up a bit in there. I do genuinely love that vid though. If you put it on full screen it's almost like you're there in the battle - gets my adrenaline levels up every time.

I don't like vids that are too arty. eg Rammstein tend to lose me with their videos. I guess that's the old punk in me.

Anyway, you can't talk. you posted that Metallica bollox

Oh, I love this thread! I know your guys shift millions more units than mine do & I honestly don't give a flying f*ck. I also love that we can take the piss & nobody gets prickly. We all like what we like & everyone's opinions are respected.

These will divide opinion, but I do like something different

Lady Gaga vs Judas Priest

Ozzy Osbourne vs a-ha

And I have saved the best till last

AC/DC vs Ghostbusters

Priest wins with a 1st round knockout

Sheeit, watching that, Halford really was hiding in plain sight all those years, wasn't he? Incredible that he ever needed to come out. And such a bloody shame he felt he couldn't be out earlier. Unfortunately, Metal still has a long way to go in that respect. Still far too macho.

Didn't we spend practically a whole thread taking the piss out of black metal just a few days ago?

I suppose DB are one of the better ones. That wasn't too bad.
