I actually posted this video on the Axl Rose IMDb board when it had a couple of thousand views back in 2010 so that gives you an idea

I pity the causal fans really since the older fans will know that it's 'Axl being Axl' knowing the routine

Axl being Axl isn't good enough though, is it? Imo, anyone who treats their fans with that lack of respect, doesn't deserve to have any.

I agree, it isn't, but I guess it comes down to a choice of do you boycott the show, or go knowing there will be a delay and enjoy the music. If people stopped buying the records and coming to the shows, maybe, maybe Axl would change but I can't see that happening too soon sadly

Well more fool them then. Tbh, I've never been that keen on G'n'R, so it doesn't affect me one way or the other.

Ah, just realised who that is. Sorry but neo nazi murderers aren't my thing.

Nazis of any description actually.

Ugh, I need to wash my ears out now

Well I don't let it effect my opinion on the sound of the music, I lost count of how many times 2Pac said something about "whitey" and yet I would still crack a tune of his some days also.

Well I can't stand rap, so that's not an issue for me at all. No, I'm afraid I can't get past the guy's politics. I hate nazis with a passion.

Ok fair enough, to be fair he isn't really a Nazi, I believe he is more of a separatist, I believe a true Nazi wanted extermination of other races. I'd say he was more a pagan white separatist but yes it's easily to blur the lines in these issues.

As I've always thought, rap is pronounced with a silent C

After his conviction, Vikernes began identifying himself as a neo-Nazi.[6] The Encyclopedia of White Power describes him as "busy promoting his Odinist and National Socialist philosophy from behind bars."[16]
In a July 2005 statement on his website entitled "The Nazi Ghost",[68] Vikernes states that although he "occasionally used the term 'nazism' to describe [his] ideological foundation", he no longer describes himself as a 'Nazi'.
The reason I have been drawn to and occasionally have expressed support for 'nazism' is mainly because many of the Norwegian (and German) 'Nazis' embraced our Pagan religion as our blood-religion and they rejected Judeo-Christianity as Jewish heresy.[68]

He may be trying to weasel his way out of it now but that seems pretty clear cut.

It is sad because I saw them when they opened Monsters Of Rock in 1988, when they were still a band hungry to make the breakthrough and they were brilliant. I also saw them @ The Freddie Mercury Tribute and when I compare what they have become now to what they were then it beats me why anyone would give them the time of day either.

Ooooh, now here's some Norwegian Black Metal that I can get my teeth into. More melodic than the usual, with keyboards/synths & some clean vocals. Check them out

I'm not a great fan of "cookie monster" vocals, but the one band I love who do use that vocal style is Opeth.

I've seen them live several times and the one thing that always stands out is their stunning musicianship.

You were at the Freddie Tribute Concert?, What did it sound like when George hit that note on 'Somebody To Love', slightly off topic I know

I have to ask, what are 'cookie monster' vocals?
