Aye, it was a bit of a bummer. But looking on the bright side, Qotsa tickets are hard enough to get these days, and a no 1 album might have attracted a few thousand more hipsters to the shows.

Have to admit I had misgivings when I first heard they would do a new album, but its really good.

Live Forever and Dear Father my two favs at the moment, but its defo going to be a grower

Last time I went there was to see Maiden in 1988 and, like them, I'm going for the anniversary!!

In saying that, though, for me Queen's Of The Stone Age, Alice In Chains, and Katatonia, are also very, very, good reasons to go and I'm really looking forward to seeing them!!

I would go on Sunday to see Rammstein and Stone Sour but my bank account says no.

Just ordered it. If it is as good as Purples new album I'll be very pleased. I've heard a few clips, and liked it though.

Does Download not do a live stream?

I've never seen the appeal of Download. There are never that many bands I want to see there, and the whole line-up tends to attract people with different tastes to me.

However, I hope all the attendees on here have a fantastic time.

Tbh, I'd only be interested in watching Amon Amarth, Maiden & Rammstein, so the expense & hassle really wouldn't be worth it. (says the woman who's going to Bloodstock to see ONE fookin' band )

Yeah, they're the main bands for me, too. There are some others, but if I bought tickets there would be no guarantee that they would be sufficiently spaced out.

I'm starting to worry about Bloodstock now. They've just released extra VIP tickets "Due to demand" with no sign of any 'days'.

My eldest is playing bloodstock this year, got a 30 minute slot. Hopefully I will be able to get there.

Which band? Can't you be a 'roadie' or something? I'd assumed bands could get f&f in. Is that not the case?
