Sure, it may have been crafted by the finest coffee-drinking, Apple users in San Francisco, but if the end-user thinks it looks duff, then it probably is. With this ever constant tinkering, I'm beginning to suspect that Facebook is on the way to the knackers yard, along with Myspace and Bebo.

It's a lie companies told to customers to appease them. Customers are rarely right and what is best for one is not best for another. This is compounded in software by the "solution problem", when gathering requirements very few people will tell what their problem or what they are trying to achieve but they will offer a solution be it in the form of a workflow or something else, and it's rarely the best way of doing things.

It's interesting you mention Apple, a company who takes great delight in not ever listening to customers or doing focus groups or any of that. Just giving talented people a problem and seeing where they end up. And look where it got them,

As a rule of the thumb the great unwashed internet masses don't know what they want or how they want it and all the best web apps mostly ignore what people want.

it may be ok, but I am getting fed up with it being changed every few months. you get used to it and then it changes again.
Maybe it is time to stop using it so much, but then I don't really use it that much anyway. I could use it even less.

i don't like the mobile version anyway, that is why I don't really use it, I normally use Friendcaster. i going to try and find something like it got windows.
