Just like people should have the freedom to do what they want people should have the freedom to think what they want to think. As long as they don't restrain others from doing things they want to do its not an issue! It seems the real intolerant ones are the ones not allowing others to react in their natural way!

Yes I can make a good guess about it as I judged her body language and the tone of her voice suggested she was saying it more for her opinion which I believe is genuine to be heard, I have also based my opinion on reading on her twitter her views on sexuality. As I am actually interested in why she feels like she does and made an attempt to find out.

June was smart enough to be so cut off from homophobia she wouldn't even accept a second of it so that's why I am highlighting her, you seem to suggest I am criticizing her when I have said repeatedly how wonderful she was for her actions - but she's only behaving like that because of people generally defending homophobia in the media otherwise it wouldn't have been necessary.

I believe that if a couple are getting married & people on Gogglebox took that moment, turned away from it and made out it's somehow deeply disturbing then that goes out on TV to millions of people & those 2 men who haven't hurt anyone with a kiss, will see it - then that is rude & disrespectful to them on their wedding day & to other viewers of Gogglebox.

All this in the week gay marriage was legal. Surely they heard of that news already and have gay friends, work mates or even family members. It was rude.

I beleive it's June's true opinion & that she made sure it was heard and she had to have a reason to do that and the best reason I can find is she is being filmed and wanting to be respectful to the viewers not get them to like her but be respectful that gay people are watching her. She's earned my respect and Steve tweeted to her that her and Leon saved the day, so job well done.

The best reaction was from the girl for me because it actually made no sense to her to hate gay people & she wouldn't tolerate being brainwashed that it should be wrong. People should have a good look at her and be like that, then they'd be personally happier & wouldn't get into situations were they're offending gay people.

I heard on the radio over the weekend that there were accusations that the people on gogglebox viewed the programs ahead of time and were fed lines and reactions which were filmed as they re-watched the programs. Any idea if that's true? If so, it might affect how people view this show and whether it's genuine or not. I'm assuming the premise is that we're seeing their reactions in real time?

the programme would be better off without a bigot like Leon Bericoff. He supports all that is wrong with our country and is very rude with his comments. Smug doesn't even come close!

I take it you're a UKIP voting Farage lover who doesn't believe in equal marriage rights?

Leon is, politically, very like me- lefty through and through! The ghastly Michael family, however, embarrassed themselves with their whooping and cheering at Farage's tired rhetoric

What's your definition of a bigot? He has strong views and speaks his mind which I assume don't tally with yours. The Michaels family have views that are the opposite of mine but I would never say they shouldnt be on the programme.

I think Leon and June are a joy, are all that's right with our country because they spent their working lives educating children and are obviously still very much in love with each other.

I don't think the Michaels family embarrassed themselves at all. It's an entertainment programme and all these families are there for entertainment purposes. They are obviously paid to do it and paid to give their opinions. Their opinions don't need to be the same as mine for them to have the right to express them in whatever way they like. All this nonsense about who should not be on it because of their differing opinions is missing the point completely.

BiB : I suspect that is most people's (secret) definition of a bigot).

Certainly seems to be the case here! FWIW, I love June and Leon and more often than not I find myself agreeing with their views.

Wow, I assumed he was well into his 50s

All that booze has raddled him somewhat

The left AND the right should be represented in the families. It's just a shame that people on the right are attacked by the left for being on the right. Don't see it AS much towards people on the left for some reason. Considering left is more for personal freedoms and rights its odd!

Leon and June are great and at least they have properly thought out views which demonstrate compassion for others. The majority of the rest seem like a right old bunch of unevolved thinkers.

And btw what is that weird little thing perched on the corner chair who appears to live with the Secretary of Nigel Farrago's fan club?

I'm sure he'd be thrilled to know he's riled someone so much they signed up to DS just to post a single comment about him

He wouldn't be all that thrilled that they got his name wrong - it's Bernicoff

People throwing their toys out of the pram tend not to check their facts, in my experience of DS

Are you talking about Mr Michaels, aka: Davros from Doctor Who.

I'm not enjoying listening to/seeing two of the new additions to the Goggleboxers - the husband & wife with daughter from the North East, and the lady Vicar and husband.

The daughter never shuts up, and gets on my nerves.
Ditto with the Vicar.

They both seem to love the sound of their own voices.

We have enough of that with Amy Tapper thank you.

Leon is like an evil little Gnome with his cackling laugh and requests for a cracker.
He makes me giggle.

LOVE the p*ssed posh couple to bits.
And also LOVE Sandy and Sandra.

Did anyone find out why Sandra drinks from a Pot Noodle carton????

And I find the father and sons from Derby really endearing.
Love them.

And will silent Jay ever speak??????

I like the Vicar and husband. They have a greyhound. I'll forgive anybody anything if they have a greyhound. I don't know what her opinions are on anything really. Too busy looking at the greyhound making itself at home on the couch.

To my shame, I haven't even noticed they have a dog!!
I'm too busy being annoyed at her taking up all the oxygen.

I've spotted the Posh couple's Dachsie, but missed their greyhound.
Will pay closer attention next episode.
