Can't wait to see the reactions to Madonna's fall

Basically it's because they are good-natured with measured yet often humorous reactions to things.
The sons are young professionals and have an effortless wit and repartee.
They are respectful of Sid, but aren't beyond a bit of leg pulling.
They're not crass and opinionated.

Baasit is also gorgeous to look at... which helps!

You can't really blame people for getting asked if they want £50,000 each easy money for an advert that takes a day to film and taking it. Especially when they don't get paid to do goggebox apart from food and electric.

Unfortunately I think that, once they saw themselves on the programme, inevitably they begin to not be natural when next on camera. The temptation to act up a little must be common place. Plus I have heard - at one point - that they were fed certain funny lines to say. It did feel that way at one stage.

Thanks for this. Interesting to see another country's version. I had to skip through a lot of it because I don't find it so interesting when I'm not familiar with the shows they are viewing. I think I would find some of the the characters tiresome very quickly too, probably because they seem to be poor imitations of the UK ones. I am not suggesting they have seen our Gogglebox and are copying our characters but it's as if they have. Would you watch it if they showed it here?

I watched the 2nd episode. I enjoyed it. Seemed quite restrained by Australian standards.

Im not that fond of the newer additions.

I dislike the lady Vicar still.

And I don't like that family who are relatively new to the show - the ones with two boys sitting between father and mother. One boy has his hair tied up in a knot. Sometimes they have a load of large dogs with them.

And I'm not much entertained by the two mates in the caravan.

So even though Sandi and Sandra are going OTT, I still like them. And I still like to watch the older goggleboxers.

Yes that family with the 2 boys and dogs are such a dead weight. They are so dull! Never have anything remotely interesting to say....why were they chosen???

The caravan friends are no better...very bland.

Exactly, so if their new choices of people are going to be like these, I'd rather stick with the others.

You forgot to add you don't feel like they are forcing themselves to be some sort of character for the camera.

I like the family with the dogs.

I wish they'd showed the Lucy reveal on EE last week - still holding hope for it tonight as Scarlett favourited a tweet of mine about seeing their reactions to Bobby being the killer, but I doubt it.

I really would love to know why an episode which had over 10 million viewers, and the answer to one of the biggest questions in the recent history or soaps, didn't warrant a part on Gogglebox. It would've been so interesting to see what people thought - even if some families don't watch EE its still a talking point to have a young child as the killer.

Missed opportunity if they haven't included it.

Well, I don't watch Eastenders (have the more unsavoury type all too prevalent in my reality locally) but I did read that the ending was a massive disappointment/let down/copout even!

Do you think it wasn't shown because it's a soap, i.e. unless you were a regular viewer (and so knew the storyline), the impact of discovering the killer would be lost?

Didn't they show Corrie and Hayley's death?

I agree it's odd it was not shown as it was everywhere
