Now that it's been a while since the four who were all in probability always going to be signed (even if I imagined Jahmene's signing would be as the winner, rather than as runner up), do you think that there's anybody else from last series likely to get a recording contract now?

I think there's 3 possible ones in Christopher (he was in the final, and it seems odd that someone finishing in sixth place could be signed before him even if she was one of the biggest names from last series), Rylan and District3. Rylan I'm not sure on, mainly because he could probably make a successful enough career for himself in what he's doing at the moment (the likes of Celebrity Juice, This Morning etc).

District3 is a difficult one. They have a very loud fanbase, though I doubt its size somewhat, who (at least some members) rabidly defend them even if there's nothing to defend them against. It seems to be a really strong, close knit fanbase, probably the contsant criticism meaning they're now in a permanent defensive mode. But on the other hand I think, a lot like Chris, X Factor did them more harm than good. Yes they've been able to get a lot more attention and fans, but at the same time it seems likely they've been stained now as a second best boyband, who were awful or bland for the majority of the show. Why would the media bother with the losing boyband of the two, always negatively contrasted in looks and popularity, who also finished in seventh place?

I'd be very surprised if anyone from Kye down was signed now. They've been largely forgotten.

•Rylan will probably get a deal with All Around The World.
•Lucy and District3 (and maybe even Christopher ) will probably sign with indie labels.
•MK1 and Kye will probably try and release music without a label.

I wish Jade could get signed but I'm pretty sure she won't. She can thank Gary Barlow and Nicole for the false confidence.

Just remembered, I wonder what happened to the multiple record labels flooding Chris with offers that were so keen as to immediately offer them as quickly as he left the competition? I think someone's pride was a bit bruised that night.

But I would quite like for Jade to be signed. She was one of the better ones last year.

I'm betting there were no real offers just vague suggestions. If that. I thought as much at the time.

Similarly: Paula Hamilton said after her CBB eviction that she had offers of work lined up - 'enough bookings until the end of the year'. We haven't had a peep from her since, as far as I know. It's all PR BS.

I know for a fact that apart from James. Jahmene, Ella and Union J have all been signed as has Chris Maloney.

Lucy...I wish she hadn't been ill then she could have stayed and gotten much further than she did (in fact she was doing not too badly in the voting results either). It would have been interesting to see her stay.
