Just to make you aware, the S-Pen isn't really a new innovative feature - they've sold capacitive touchscreen styli in the pound shop for a while!
So even though styluses? Styli? Stylus's? have been around for ages the SPen is something new and innovative because of the features and integration with the OS. |

How many could interact with the device without touching the screen? None.
How many could measure over 1000 different levels of pressure? None. How many of them have buttons on for additional functionality? None. |

I think lack of removable battery is an issue but not so much the SD card thing. People still buying nexus devices at 16gb no sd slot and people buying iPhones with no slot for years. Lack of sd is not that big a deal. With many cloud storage solutions and Google offer drive and google music you don't need to fill the phone up with lots of media. Can stream stuff over network now with faster 3g speeds and 4g. The one x+ came with 64gb on onboard and cheaper than an iphone with that amount of storage. 32gb will even be enough for most people. That's more than what google offered with the Nexus 8gb and 16gb.
I don't think it's too much of an issue. Lack of removable battery for me is a bad one though, but this phone will have a 2300mah battery so should provide more juice and the snapdragon s4 is pretty good at battery conservation. So both the issues of sd card and battery could be resolved somewhat with bigger onboard storage and bigger battery. Samsung and Sony have both passed HTC now which is a little sad as they were great phones in the early android days. |

Come on, Smart Stay? There have been apps for keeping the screen on for ages, had that on my HTC Hero years ago.
How is that possible with a phone with no front facing camera? Oh.... You mean the app will hold the screen on for a set timeout? Not exactly smart eh? |

The networks, app developers, the phone makes all push cloud storage yet we still don't have the networks to fully utilise it to its full. Those that can afford unlimited data packages (that still have a decent amount of call and text allowance are in the minority I think, they are the only ones who can truly use cloud services. |

I actually use online storage for back up solely .. I can't at present see any other use for it in the current climate.
Possibly with 4g and unlimited data but until then. |

Ok this seems to be the real deal this time
The M7
http://bgr.com/2013/01/21/htc-m7-photos-leak-299637/ I think this sense version they got running on it, looks terrible! Yes it's minimal but it looks cartoony i mean WTF. Even the icons in the dock. looks like 8 bit bbc micro icons. HTC, what gives?? As for the phone design, not sure, need more angles of it. But I preferred the look of the J Butterfly and Droid DNA. |

Yip, rumoured to be unveiling the M7 and the similar but smaller M4 which is interesting me.

New sense version looking a bit windows 8ish. Not sure how I feel about that, but looks interesting. Press event kicking off in a few hours. Will keep an eye on this. If it's killer, I may flog the Nexus (class phone, not great camera, and less storage) http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/news/mobi...ead-of-launch/ Another image leak. Does that design not scream BB z10?? Really looks alike, |

Looks very similar to the Z10, doesn't like as nice as the One X, Butterfly or even Sensation (in terms of design) Also I know a lot of people didn't like Sense, but i think it will be a shame if they have ditched there signature HTC clock/weather..

Ok this pretty much confirms it!! Tablet on the way too!! This is really exciting to see what HTC have up their sleeves! Have not seen any leaks of the tablet. And it will be Ubuntu based. Not a large app selection though but a new platform on some good hardware could be something to keep an eye on. Would Android apps be compatible? Since both are linux based.
http://www.ubuntu.com/ http://www.htc.com/uk/ Clock counting down is in sync with the HTC countdown clock. Ubtun pretty much spells it out with the "tick tock Tablet time". |

bizarre, includes an IR sensor again, for the purposes of TV/set top box control. My phone 5 or 6 years ago used to do this, till IR fell out of fashion.

Just seen it described as an iPhone running Android with a Windows Phone skin. I can sort of see what they mean!

the continual use of 'Zoes' as a noun doesn't work for me (livestream). Sounds like its just an alternative to Vine
