I was wondering how many of you read the Spider-Man newspaper strip online?
It has a bit of an infamous rep on the 'net from what I can gather. The stories are incredibly corny, Spidey is often done in by repeated blows to the head and bricks, and the pace of the stories are so slow that you're lucky if you get one complete saga over the course of the year alone
Still, for all it's faults, I find it very charming. It's got an old-school vibe to it, characters are consistent, sometimes it's unintentionally hilarious, and whenever it does get an aspect of the story right, it draws me in and excites me. One of the biggest selling points for me though is that Peter is still married to Mary Jane in it, with the daily strip version of MJ being probably my favorite next to the headstrong mother figure from the much missed Spider-Girl books.
I view it as a major step-up from the regular books floating around (which are far sillier)
