RF Out- Power on or off?
I am sending the signal from Sky+HD signal into a second room at the rear of the property. What I want to know is would I get better results using the powered output (with the Outlet Power turned on) or using the standard non-powered one?
I already know I cannot use a Magic Eye as I was told this when I got it installed, but I was never planning on using one anyway.
I will be using the cable left round the wall from a VM installation I used to have.

Why can't you use one?
He was talking rubbish.
But with a magic eye, at least you can control the box from the remote location, and it'll only cost you a couple of quid, even if ya only use it once, it means it's come in handy.
Oh, and I don't think it is right installers should be lying, for whatever reason, whether you cae or not, they shouldn't be doing it.
Sky installers no longer fit magic eyes, and haven't for some time - so to be fair he was probably more incompetent than lying.
If you have a smart phone and your box is connected to your router you can use the Sky+ app and save yourself any expense.
I already use the Sky+ app to use the remote record feature.
