I really liked the look of the Note 8.0, but the price is really putting me off.
http://www.handtec.co.uk/samsung-gal...ifi-white.html That's over £100 more than the iPad mini

Looks like it's going to be more expensive than the note 10.1

I will wait until later in the year to make sure any problems are ironed out & also in the hope that the price will drop. |

It's better than the overrated & overpriced iPad Mini in my humble opinion.

If I wanted an 8-inch tablet I'd choose this over the iPad Mini.
I have a Galaxy Note 10.1 and it's an excellent tablet. |

Even if we disregard the iPad mini the Note 8.0 is even more expensive than the note 10.1.
The rrp for the 10.1 is £399 & the rrp for the 8.0 is £339. OK, I'll concede that a number of retailers are currently offering the 10.1 at a marked down price; some of them for less than £339, but that is a promotional price, probably to shift stocks of the 10.1 which has older tech than the 8.0 does. |

I'd even choose the nexus 7 over this if I wanted a 7-8 inch tablet. I just think its over priced. I'm not keen on the s- pen in a device this size for some reason.

The S-Pen on the Note 10.1 is an intuitive feature (e.g. Hover for Menus allows you to see information and scroll without touching the screen).
