I've been trying to work it out. She has been continuously marked down every single week and the judges have done their very best to try and undermine her performances. She seems perfectly pleasant and always puts her heart and soul into each routine, so its obviously not a personality issue?

Maybe they just didnt want Dan to win for a third time? But if that is the case then they should have given her another partner and they only have themselves to blame.

The judges have been a disgrace this series.

I agree. With Karen, I think it is just blatant jealousy.

Well, Jason's never really liked the female sports stars.

I was surprised that Robin always marked her lower than Matt when she was clearly a much better technical skater.

Yes, he's always been a stickler for the technical side of things before now.

Jason doesn't like sports stars and Karen is jealous of someone that has an Olympic Medal, which she doesn't have. She may have Chris but she has been in Jayne's shadow for 30 years.
I also think that like the winner to be ITV friendly, someone that can pop up of tv shows and maybe Beth isn't that type. Matt gave them jazz hands in Belero which what Jason likes, while Beth was able to be both techincal and artistic which is what ice dance requires.

They've been disgraceful towards her this series, always constantly putting her down and i'm so happy to see their smug faces wiped when she was announced the winner!, Bring back Katarina Witt and Louie Spence they were never this biased last season they gave praise where praise was due!

I don't get what the judges problem was with Beth!. I found that strange really?. I don't get it?. She hasn't done anything wrong to them.

Beth winning restores some of my faith in the british public,

She has zero sensuality and that is an essential component. I don't think the judges have been unfair at all.

How do you quantify sensuality? Does Matt have it because he moved his arms and touched Brianna? How is Jason a judge on sensuality? He only seems to like the obvious not the subtle and he doesn't like sports stars either.

They clearly favoured Matt, the look on Karens face when Beth won said it all. So glad Beth won.

Yes my thoughts exactly - I think I may have mentioned that a week or so ago. He did comment on Matt needing to work on his technical skills in the first couple of weeksthen completely ignored the fact that it wasn't improving much since then

What is it with conspiracy theorists on this forum?

Dancing on Ice is such a lovely show and deserves better.

Matt didn't show any sensuality either. His routines were mostly brash and lots of facial expressions - but not in a good way.

Really - and where exactly does this informed opinion come from - other than the depths of your paranoid mind. Please direct me to the evidence for such wild allegations.

The look on all the judges faces was true quality. I kept rewinding to see again and again. One of the best parts of the series.

Beth was a good skater but she doesn't have a very exciting personality. Her partner, Daniel, is very popular which could be one of the reasons why she won.

Beth has a lovely quiet personality which the public obviously warmed to.

Beth and Dan won because they were the best skaters and didn't feel the need to give an Oscar acceptance speech every bloody time they stood by Pip.

She was humble - the public love that. Afterall - what does skating ability have to do with Skating on Ice.

Maybe we should re-name it humility on ice or popularity on ice - but definitely not confidence on ice. Brits won't like that.

Skating ability? Nothing to do with being humble but if the public have a choice between a big-headed arrogant Matt or a sweet humble Beth, there is no contest especially when she was the best skater.

Not really. The thing is the GBP voted for someone who's obvious skills and talent were being completely overlooked by the very biased unprofessional professionals, and they got the slap in the face they deserved. The best competitor won tonight and common sense prevailed. Well done Beth 2013 dancing on ice champion.
