At the end of the show tonight Phillip didn't say see you next year like he does at the end of each series.

Also when Torville and Dean were asked if they would do something special next year since it was their 30th anniversary they didn't have much to say.

I'm sure he did.

I thought I heard Philip and Chris saying that they would have to do something special next year to commemorate the 30th anniversary of then winning the Olympics!

I think it,ll be back but it does need a lot of changes, T & D did look a bit awkward when asked if they would do something special next year, maybe its me but I wouldnt be surprised if they were getting a bit fed up with the show and arent there next year

If it is back next year I hope that they have a fairer ice judging panel and more of the basic skating too.

Schofe deffo said they'd be back next year...but i wouldn't miss it if it wasn't.

In previous years, there has always been at least one contestant i'd want to see again and again (Ray, Hayley, Matt Wolfenden) but this year has been...meh.

Yes - he said see you next year. So on that basis - with it being 30 years since T&D won gold - it is surely coming back.

Christine rolled her eyes a little when he said it - presumably because she thinks she won't be returning as co-presenter!

All of this and also let the pros have a few weeks where they and their partners make the routine up. As no matter how much I love T&D I do think they are getting a little dull in the routine they are giving the couples.

I think T&D themselves have upped their game in terms of their own input to show night, putting more content into their own routines etc.and looking more like their old selves, the past year or two it's felt like they didn't really do that. If that translates into putting more into the contestants' routines as well then that will be a significant improvement.

I wonder if they will bring it back next year for the final time, for the 30th anniversary of the Bolero and to give the whole show a proper send off.
Maybe have fewer celebs, or try to bring back all past winners for the final series, to create an ultimate champion and they get to skate T&D's original bolero and then T&D perform the original themselves. Or perform it side by side with the series winners.

Will be interesting to see what happens... there seems to be a copmplete lack of interest this year + viewing figures have dived.

And in a year when sports etc have been at a peak with the olympics that fact it has failed should be a cause for concern.

Unfortunately the show has been revamped and twisted to death and had this time just been back to basics and stopped twisting the whole time it may have faired better. However the show/ routines are stale.

Unlike SCD we get a variety of different dances, music, interpretations and it is fun. DOI has T/D trying to creature 12 + routines in a given week so its not surprising that style/ routines are so poor. Also the panel is crap and really needs to stop being revamped - bringing back Jason was a mistake to.

I think it is obvious now that the series is past its halcion days, although to be fair, it still pulls in a solid 6.5 Million for the main show and thats not to be sniffed at.

Over the past few years, many changes have been made both to the Judging Panel and to the format and look of the show to no avail as Viewing Figures have continued to steadily drop to a level that no longer shows it as "Event Television"

DOI was always some way behind SCD in terms of attracting big celebrities and always felt, to me anyway, like SCD's cheaper cousin. Perhaps it fails to attract a better class of celebrity because of the risk factor involved and as most of the celebrities taking part in DOI are generally unemployed, they can risk breaking a leg as opposed to those on SCD, who are more likely to be in work as they are generally of a higher calibre.

With regard to the Host's....The Philip Schofield that I grew up with is not the Philip Schofield that I now see hosting DOI....he was moulded into another ITV puppet and slowly became full of himself, cocky, arrogant and way too self important. This upsets me as I used to love him on CBBC and Test The Nation.

Christine Bleakley, despite my personal feelings on her departure from the BBC, is quite a competent Television host but for some reason, just looks somewhat uncomfortable presenting DOI with Pip and to my mind that partnership never really gelled. The presenting duties she has held with ITV since her move in 2010 certainly do not justify the very large contract she was given and it is blatently obvious that ITV offered her the DOI role so as to try and justify her value. For me, she doesnt work on DOI and therefore should be replaced.

Chris and Jane. Both are the show's most valuable asset and are criminally underused. They should be given a more expanded creative role and more screen time. The decision on which contestant to eliminate each week should be given to them, not the main judges.

Judges...Karen should be removed from the Judging Panel as she is biased towards all those who compete and can therefore, not be constructive or critical enough, she always lets her emotions cloud her judgement and for these reasons should not be a judge.

Robin - Happy for him to continue in his current Head Judge role.

Jason - Generally performed better this series and, apart from the usual bout of nastiness every now and again, I would be happy for him to stay.

Ashley - Still do not understand why she was chosen to judge, is it from a performance point of view that her opinion counts? because if it is, both Robin and Jason can quite easily critique in this area. She is actually very good but would be much more suited to X Factor or The Voice as a judge in her own genre.

I believe Katerina should be brought back to replace Karen and another professional brought in to replace Ashley or perhaps revert back to 3 Judges?

Live Music/Orchestra should be introduced to replace the recorded tracks and a larger ice rink for improved group show numbers with Chris and Jane with a warmer more colourful set. Presently, it looks too cold and unwelcoming.

Just my humble opinion.
A move back to Saturday for the main show would be a good move in my opinion.
