Think I may know the reason why DOI wasn't a success this year. Down to a producer that obviously didn't have a clue about the show and that he or she was just in it for a bit of pocket money. For DOI to be a success story again I think it needs a new strong and creative producer with purpose and intent.

What do you guys and girls think about the idea?

AFAIK it had a new producer this year. The guy who has done DOI in the past Glenn Coomber appears to have defected to SCD. I saw his name in the SCD credits last series and haven't seen his name in the credits of this years DOI.

So I blame whoever they brought in this year maybe thats the reason for all the OTT Matt love someone on production either has a serious thing for him or ITV have got him lined up for something.

Glenn Coomber was very good at his job and ensured that we were happy. He is doing just as well at SCD and because of him, Andrea Hamilton and Darcey Bussell it was best talent show of all.

I agree as the love for Matt was a cynical ploy to boost ratings and it failed as he couldn't engage with the public. Didn't see the point in the favouritism and think the person above the person who was running it has made a regrettable decision by hiring him or her.

The sooner the daft person is out the better and that we can have a new person who is more honest without these undesirable intentions.
