Remove the Sim Card, and re-insert it. Sounds like the Sim card has fell out of contact with the chip reader.

already tried that,... when i put the sim card back in and the phone boots up again, it will some times say insert card again..then it will go away for a while only to return again....
because the original provider 02.is no longer .. they dont wont to know about it.....

Does it do it with other SIM cards? - I'm thinking faulty SIM, rather than faulty phone and looking on the bright & cheaper side of things

Oh and have you tried cleaning the sim contacts (both phone & sim) with a dry cloth? - It's a long shot, but it might work (it did for a Nokia my sister had many years ago)!

Can you return the phone under warranty? If you can then do it and get a refund then buy it from Virgin for only £119.99 (with £15 free airtime) as i take it you paid about £129.99 off O2 for it??

Here is the link to the Virgin one: http://www.virginmobile.com/mobile/c...NOK-STD-3220-1

I don't know how your having problems though as I bought this phone on Tesco Mobile when i had it and got it unlocked then used Virgin in it, the phone worked ok except for freezing and cutting out of power sometimes when going to send an MMS.
