This is sad news ...I've known Tony's voice over many years on sport and have always liked him ..when he wasn't on last night's DOI for a third week running I thought it must be serious ....

As others have said he did make the Todd Carty thing even funnier, and that's one of many good memories of his long career which people will have.

Very sad news. I had a feeling he was very ill, he wouldn't have been able to keep himself away from the show if he possibly could. RIP Tony.
