I was appalled at their reaction to Beth's success.

Never before have I witnessed such rude dismissal of a reality show's successful competitor.

I do hope Beth knows that the public vote means so much more than judges who can't tell the difference between crude showmanship and understated elegance. After all - why gild the lily?

The judges are an absolute utter disgrace, they deliberately marked her down to not take the shine off golden boy then when it backfired they displayed their sickening reactions, If they cannot accept that the public chooses their rightful winner then to me they should not be in employment by the show.

They need to make a public apology. I'm sure Beth was hurt.

I agree they should apologise to Beth or run the risk of being sacked. The production should apologise too for treating her like muck too.

Very good OP and replies. Anyone who feels like this should phone the BBC to complain. That is the only thing that they listen to. Beth was inexplicably marked down, for favouritism reasons. Karen Barber's face was a picture when the result was read out. Beth is an Olympian and deserving of the highest respect. The judges' behaviour was outrageous. The show will go the way of the X Factor if they continue to behave in this biased fashion.

They really angered me last night and they do deserve some sort of punishment.

The fact that so many people are up in arms about her treatment from the judges should surely be enough consolation .They made themselves look ridiculous she made herself look the picture of dignity .

To be truthful Ashley was the only genuine judge this series.

Actually reading these posts I have changed my mind about Ashley and yes she may be inexperienced with ice dancing knowledge but she ain't no bimbo and actually gave Beth credit where credit was due. Think underneath it all Ashley isn't so bad really.

That said the DOI panel will never be as good as the SCD panel and you would never see Craig revel horwood throw a wobbler like Jason did. Then again the SCD panel is very much a united panel, whereas DOI is divided.

Shows that Ashley thinks what most of us think and to be fair they may give her a second stab at it. ITV need to have an evaluation of whom actually enjoys doing their DOI judging job and who is doing it for the money. Karen and Jason are just really doing it for the money, well IMHO anyway.

I'm planning on emailing a complaint but phone call is a good idea. Not something I would normally do but want to stick it to the bl**day judges, they're an absolute disgrace.

Jason Came back thinking his return would pull in millions of viewers that didnt happen he should be worried because it wasnt him missing last year caused the decline.Karen was allowed off the naughty chair back onto the panel and yet again appears to show she cant judge and train these people.As for Robin maybe its time to Quit because for someone who boasted for years on the Technical aspects of a performance was that dropped this year?

Ashley was just another 1 series judge never to return.Production have got so cosy assuming the show will return year on year they have made a fatal mistake of treating the viewers/voters like Idiots.

Ashley will probably be asked back again, what has griped me is the lack of chemistry between the judges this year. They have seemed so divided and should take a hint of how SCD has done with people pretty much on par with each other. Then again SCD asides an irritating doddery presenter is probably the best show ATM and that's a fact.

No wonder the ratings are so low. Silly twists, unnecessary teams, manipulative judging.

The audience wants skating and honest judging.

They should use the SCD manual how to do things.

All we ask for is impartiality when it comes to shows like this. Too see the Judges react in the way they reacted was bad, and it didn't look good for the show

I get the impression that everything was all set up for Matt to win!, Their was an element of surprise in everyone on Sunday night when Beth won.

It's as if the producers had it all set up for Matt, so to find out that their plan didn't work came as a massive shock to everyone.

My only hope is that DOI goes to being an honest show, and not one where theirs clear bias and favouritism!

She was never in the skate off ( the only one who was never bottom 2) so she must have been high in the votes each week, AND she could skate like a dream.

The panel/ producers seemed to have decided that Matt was going to win early on on, and him going into the skate off showed he wasn't popular with the public, and hence why he was top of the board thereafter to keep him safe! Just like Bonnie in Season 1

But the judges all owe Beth an apology over their behaviour - and particularly Robin who should never have made that tweet! No way was Matt the best skater ever on DOI that honour belongs to Ray who WAS fantastic

I watched it back last night as I was listening but not really looking on Sunday, they couldn't have looked more shocked if Joe had suddenly been voted winner. I've not seen such a disgruntled panel since Jodie Prenger won the Nancy thing.

Beth could clearly skate better than Sack O'Spuds so why did it come as such a surprise!

I didn't watch the Final but watched This Morning where they had a clip of the Judges and some of the skating routines. I thought it was just horrible how the judges reacted to Beth winning. Aren't the judges supposed to be impartial regarding the skaters? Beth was wonderful through the whole series, admittedly I did not watch everyone but she was never in the Skate Off. Shocking that the judges did not even clap when she won. Why was Robin so upset? Karen looked stunned! Really appalling behaviour and it must have been dreadfully embarrassing for Beth! Even Phil on This Morning said that he was surprised at how the judges reacted to the win.
