Can a WAV file be copied onto a CD please?

Yes.

The long complicated techie answer is

Yes.

You can either copy it as a data file or convert it to a music CD (which is not the same thing as a CD containing a WAV file).

If you open up (My) Computer from the Start menu (assuming a version of Windows below 8) you can simply drag the WAV file onto the CD drive icon and let Windows get on with it. It may even offer to convert to CD audio for you which means it will play back on any CD player (which a WAV file copied as is onto the disk might not). Or you can use Windows Media Player to burn the file to disk.

The only caveat is that the WAV file must be under 700MB in size or less than 70min in duration (if it's stereo) otherwise it won't fit on a bog standard CD disk.

Thanks again for your help (and hopefuly it might also help others) and I managed to do it and the programme was just under one hour so fitted on nicely.

THANKS
