I bought a Sausage making machine, however my ambition was far in excess of my skill level
I tried to make sausages like my dad used to buy from a butcher, we always had them on a Saturday morning after we had come back from shopping. This was in the 70's and he would literally have a 50 mile round trip going from one town to another to get the best sausages, the best bread, the best vegtables and they all were'nt in the same towns and it took him ages.
Anyway we'd come home and he would cook up the Snorkers and he'd open up a tin of tomatoes and add salt, pepper, garlic salt a bit of sugar and boil them down, he'd cut doorstops of bread with loads of butter and sometimes after frying the snorkers he would add them to the tomatoes to boil for a while.
He'd then serve up and we'd dip the bread in the sauce absolutely delicious.
I still cook it now for brekkie but it comes nowhere near the standard of me dads.
