Best i've ever had are Lincolnshire sausages from John Pettit butchers in Grimsby. They have an online shop as well. A Toad in the Hole made with them is to die for.

There's another Butcher that's worthy of a mention too. Jackson's in Ruswarp, just outside of Whitby. The sausages we had from there were immense, and to make it even better they were cooked outside over an open fire.

I bought a Sausage making machine, however my ambition was far in excess of my skill level
![]() I tried to make sausages like my dad used to buy from a butcher, we always had them on a Saturday morning after we had come back from shopping. I still cook it now for brekkie but it comes nowhere near the standard of me dads. http://forum.sausagemaking.org The Polly Perkins Cumberland recipe here is exceptionally good as is... http://www.localfoodheroes.co.uk/?e=131 |

Debbie & Andrews are nice although i've never tried the standard pork variety.
M&S premium ones are lovely, I've had Gloucester Old Spot (90% pork) and Pork and Leek, want to try the beef or Chorizo ones

Local butcher does some good suusages.
Of the supermarkets, Aldi ultimate ones are pretty nice. |

I've just had the Debbie and Andrew pork sausages but found they were just too dry. I always preferred the Harrogate sausages. It appears Debbie and Andrew are no longer connected with the companywhich seems to be dying a death. Story here http://www.thegrocer.co.uk/fmcg/fres...234262.article

Maybe thats only including 'budget' sausages? I agree 42% is a joke though.

Tried lots as I like sausages but keep going back to Butchers Choice from Tesco as they are one of the few that aren't dry or greasy after cooking!

Best supermarket sausages have to be the ones from Waitrose. Top quality, but a little bit thick skinned.
