K500i call list problem

My K500i has a problem with the call list, when you phone "Tony" it tells you you've phoned "Ken", for example (the names have been changed to protect the innocent!). It does the same with incoming / missed calls, it doesn't recognise the sender even though they're in my address book. Anyone else had similar difficulties?

hey this is a know problem, it is due to a firmware error, take it back to where u got it from and let them know they should able to arrange a firmware upgrade for free. just out of curiousity what firmware version do you have??? to find out
press >*<<*<* (< = left or right click on the joy stick and *= the star button)

and select service info, and then select software info, the firware is at the top and sould be somthing like R2L, or the latest which is R2AE033, there a few diffrent ones, just list yours.

Hi

It reads R2Y005 (then on the next line prgCXC125901_EU_3_A, don't know if that's relevant).

Bought it online from The Link, will they be able to upgrade the firmware remotely or do I need to take it instore? Thanks

it is not possible to change the firmware remotly, but also the link do not do it, you will have to take it to a carphonewarehouse store as they do. they will do it for free as log as it is under a year old.

Quick update for anyone viewing this thread who may have had the same problem. By listing all my numbers separately, instead of inputing several numbers for each contact, this seems to have rectified the problem (ie. by listing "Bob Home", "Bob Mobile" & "Bob Work" as separate contacts instead of listing all three numbers under one contact, "Bob"). Of course this is only a solution for people like me, who haven't got any mates!
