Perhaps it's a good thing there's no tour 2013

It occured to me, it would have been awkward when it came to scoring

If they had scored Matt at the top of the leaderboard, it would have looked like they were slighting Beth.

But if they had put her at the top (as you'd expect with the winner) or given her 10's, it would look hypocritical as she didn't get any in the final

They couldn't give 10's to the runner up and not the winner

It could have been awkward all round

But maybe they could have put someone else above both Matt & Beth as neither were the best skaters who have ever appeared on DOI.

There is no official DOI tour, BUT Matt, Beth, Gareth, Chico, Kyran are touring in Celebritiesonice. Others will be added. They are accompanied by (I think) Russian All Stars.

There is also the Prosonice touring different ice rinks at the same time.

Rinkside seats booked

What is also strange or perhaps telling is that Brianne switched shows between the two "unofficial" tours.

She was originally meant to be doing the pro's on ice tour (Mark even said her name on the radio) but then suddenly her name was no longer on their list and Vicky was then added. No mention of Brianne anymore. Then suddenly has switched to the celebs on ice tour where she is skating with Matt.

Could just be a complete coincedence of course but given she skates professionally with Sylvain I would have expected her to stay with Pro's on Ice and the only reason I can see for having switched would be them expecting to win so they could be promoted as the winning couple or if the rumours are true and they are together they couldn't bear to be seperated.

Especially if we'd pelted the judges with rotten tomatoes

Yes I know they are on the same tour - I just thought it would be awkward on the DOI tour,
scoring Matt higher than Beth (they obviously think he's better) with her being the winner

I take it this ice show is just showcase routines - no scoring

Will you give us a review, let us know who gets the better reception from the crowd, Matt or Beth

I am sure it will just be performances. Will write up a review when I go next Month but as I'm going to Cardiff I am sure Gareth will get the biggest reception there.

Seems odd to have two skating shows on at the same time... the pros versus the celebs ! I wonder which one will prove the more popular and will one suffer financially over the other.

I get the impression both are doing pretty well in terms of ticket sales, but surely they'd have done even better had they not been so close together! My hunch is that some of the pro skaters do not want to be part of the Celeb show and have decided to go it alone - I'm supporting them in any case but would admittedly have liked to see Matt & Gareth.
