Left chilli out overnight (cooked from scratch yesterday). Kitchen is very cool and we never have heating on.

I popped it in fridge about 6am.

Will it be OK for tomorrow or should I bin it?

If it was covered I would chance it. Especially if it looks OK and smells OK and a little taste tells you it tastes OK.

I would eat it. Just make sure it's cooked through thoroughly when you heat it up.

As long as it's heated properly it will be fine.

I'd eat it too. In fact, I regularly do this and I've never been ill

Bit OT, but you never have the heating on in your house? Or just the kitchen?

It will taste better. As long as it is heated thoroughly you will not poison anyone unless you had that in mind when preparing it originally and included anti-freeze or similar

People used to leave stews and soups stove top for days on end. My mother certainly did. I am not dead nor my siblings.

Lately I have been defrosting stuff on the counter and yesterday I left some prawn curry on the hob till it went cold as I didn't fancy eating it straightaway and had it hours later after reheating and I am fine, never had problems with my risky methods...I probably have a strong immune system :P.
Don't do this if you have to serve the food to people with health problems.

It is okay as the weather is very cold. Cold inhibits bacteria.
