I am supposed to be porting my number from Orange to O2 today. Any ideas when it will happen, has anyone had any experience of porting to O2?

If you were given today as the date of your migration then your temp o2 sim will disconnect then what you need to do is switch your phone OFF/ON every half hour and your old number will port over at some point and you will get the full signal...then to fully activate you need to make or recieve a call to get the number working................

My number took a week to port from o2 to o2 Online. By the time it happend I forgot I had done it and thought my phone was broken. Apart from that it all went fine.

Takes longer to port from/to 3 that other networks for some reason (Ten working days on 3, Five working days on other networks).

It will port over at about 5pm (just keep your mob switched off all day).
