KIpper, my male cat, is 18 in a couple of months. Poor boy is almost deaf and blind now..(various health problems). Hes not in discomfort at all, the vet says though that I should 'prepare myself' in the next few months...he's already lasted a lot longer than the vet expected when he started developing problems a couple of years ago.
I've had him since he was 8 weeks old...making the most of my time with him now.

The Beast is coming up to 9.

When he chose me, I asked the couple I got him from when he was born. Was May 5

So May 5 he gets his favourite (chicken)

It doesn't seem like any time at all since I brought home a scared, teeny ball of fluff, who cried all the way home in a cardboard box.

Notwithstanding he can be a bit of git, I am sure the last 9 years would have been less fun without him being there.

'Stig' - Red-nosed Red-brindle Staffordshire-x-Labrador - coming up to 6yrs old on May 30th.

Co-incidentally, exactly the same birthday as our previous dog - which was the deciding factor in us getting him.
A neighbour's Labrador was pregnant by their Brindle Staff, and I half-jokingly said I'd have a male brindle if there were any in the litter.
I visited their house one night a few weeks later, and their dog had just finished giving birth a few hours earlier - Two female brindles, one female black, one male black/white, and one male red-brindle. Turned out that the date was the same as our recently-deceased Golden Lab's birthday.

He's cute. I thought with that name he was going to be a dog.
