Status Quo Reunion
Has anybody seen the Status Quo reunion tour this week > I was at Glasgow Academy on Sunday evening and it was awesome. The band were heavy, loud and enjoying every minute as they stormed through a < 1975 setlist. Great to see Coughlin and Lancaster back on stage and after witnessing that I am never going back to "Quo lite" - and I don't see how Parfitt or Rossi can either. If Alan Lancaster's health remains ok lets hope they are back for more than just this short tour

I think Alan's health is the only stumbling block unfortunatly its a big one.
Rhino (current Bassist) has been great but acknowlages that he was only ever Alan's replacement. He would step aside to let him return if that is what happens but I don't think it will. Its so sad that the falling out happened in the 80s and maybe they could have made it up again a few years down the line and reformed but outside influncences and drugs stopped that from happening. |

did 6/9 gigs - manc, wolves and london - and what an awesome tour, nothing like the watered down panto quo lite shows of modern times just a good old fashioned rock band blasting the roof off every sold out venue they played, in no small part helped by a crowd as enthusiastic as they were in the 70's, even had a crazy moshpit going on at the Hammersmith gigs. Setlist did not go beyond 1976 and even included 3 songs never played live before and a bucketfull of others not played in years. No medleys, no nonsense just hairy old rock n boogie.
As for Nuff Lancaster - a legend, end of.

Roadhouse Blues was excellent great to hear this again. Quo are the only band who can do this song justice. compared to the original, (actually I think they do it better don't tell the Doors fans though)
