I don't really buy the fuss for Bruno Mars. His songs aside from "Locked Out Of Heaven" are all these wet, drippy ballads declaring all this crap undying love.

Who is he aimed at? Is it desperate 16-18 yr olds eager to lose their virignity and get the gfs/bfs?

Also is he a virgin in himself or one of these happy-clappy Christians?

VERY overrated

As a person no i mean he was arrested for Cocaine possession so not so whiter than white as for being a Virgin why the hell should it even matter if he is though it's doubtful. But musically Marry You, It Will Rain Grenade, , and Locked Out Of Heaven ( A Police song in all but name) i cannot stomach any of his other stuff especially Just The Way You Are an awful awful awful titally stomach churning vomit inducing song

I paid as much as i want to pay because i like him - so your clichéd quip is irrelevant.

I like his music, and he's a great songwriter. His duet with Alexandra Burke is very good, he has a great voice in my view.

Any music I would want to like of his is ridiculously overplayed all over radio to the point I then dislike it

I love Bruno because he's actually a musician. An artists writes his own music and has put in the years of work to get where he is whilst also having a good personality, his interviews actually showcase a normal human being and not a media trained puppet. If his music isn't aimed at you and you don't like it why are you so bothered OP.

I don't see the appeal of him at all. The only song of his I like is Grenade. Every other song of his is awful. The Lazy Song and Marry You are the worst.

I wouldn't say I'm a massive fan. His new album has some decent enough songs on it though (only two of which are slow, slushy ballads)

He's okay. Some of his songs are decent but others I don't really like.

I don't get why you think he has to be a virgin/Christian either. I guess singing about anything other than sex or drugs automatically makes you a virgin these days.

Can't stand him/ Especially how everyone (and DJ's) fawn over how LOOH is such a new sound. No it isn't, it sounds like a Police/Sting song.

But surely it's a good thing that's where he gets his inspiration. Or would you rather the biggest pop stars today are mainly influenced by skrillex?

Bruno Mars actually does drugs, he just doesn't sing about them lol. He got arrested a few years ago for being in possession of cocaine.

Didn't say it was a bad thing, just don't like people pretending he's created this whole new genre and doing amazing new things, he isn't.

Lana Del Rey is however and she doesn't get nearly enough respect.

Bruno Mars is a tough one for me. I find most of his songs painful and drippy but he pops up with the odd great song like Locked Out Of Heaven every now and then

Based on what I've seen I'm probably the only person in the world who doesn't mind the lazy song. Probably because it describes me on a weekend

He really irritated me when he first came around, but I don't mind him these days. Not a great fan of most of his songs but will happily listen to them if they come on the radio or his album (my Mum is a huge fan and plays his albums a lot). Got my Mum tickets to see him live in October for Mothers Day, she's taking my sister

Locked Out of Heaven does truly sound very much like a Police song
