Longmire (UK Pace) No spoilers please.

Western Longmire starts on Sun 17 Mar, 9pm on TCM HD. This doesn`t look a bad show. katee sackoff being in it is one of reasons i`ll be watching. Plus i think its already being renewed for season 2.

watched first episode last night. thought it was good. seems to have got good reviews in america so hopefully i`ll enjoy the rest of it. im guessing its on TCM because that is the home of westerns apparently. I wouldn`t be surprised if the next western series Wyatt Earp will also be on there.

There was a Wyatt Earp series in development at Fox in 2011, but it never got the greenlight for a pilot, so I think it is dead. Is that what you were thinking of? Right now ABC is making a pilot for a western, Big Thunder, and NBC is making a pilot for a western/fantasy hybrid, The Sixth Gun.

After Hell On Wheels started in 2011, there were a few different western projects in development at various channels, which led to some articles about the western making a comeback. Then ALL of those projects died. Yeah, so not much of a comeback. We'll have to see what happens with Big Thunder and The Sixth Gun. I heard that the lead in Big Thunder was just cast -- an Irish actor who has made a name for himself in UK soaps like EastEnders and Holby City. I believe his name is Ed MacLiam. Ever heard of him?

There is an entry for him at IMDB, as "Edward MacLiam."

I enjoyed the first episode of Longmire. I liked the characters and the touch of humour.
