Lidl is the latest supermarket to "do an M&S" and introduce a 'finest' type range. Perhaps it's been around for a while? But I've only just noticed it!

The crispy seasoned half-duck is gorgeous!

Has anyone tried anything else from this range?

I've been buying the Delux range for a couple of years, though some of the lines seem to be seasonal or just sporadicly stocked.

It's generally very good, though there are some duds. Their frozen pies are as good as M&S, and better than Asda or Tesco home-brands. And definitely better than the standard Lidl range. I don't like things like Beef Wellington, so I've never tried them. I'd like to try their cheesecake, but for some reason they don't do a vanilla one. The rest of their deserts haven't tempted me yet.

The chocolates are nice too, and they were doing loose tea for a while that was very good for the price.

I once tried their tinned soups, and they weren't that nice.

I think they are making it more of a range now.

Bought the banoffee pie for £2.99 last work - serves 4 very good portions, or 5 if you are less greedy! Was really nice, better than any shop bought one i have had before.

I think that must be the case. I go to Lidl every week for my basics, but never noticed the deluxe range until last week.

They're definitely rolling it out and adding more lines.

I'll try the banoffee pie for certain

The Banoffee Pie is lovely, but deadly for me.

The Deluxe range is very good but obviously expensive.

The Venison steaks are very nice too.

It's expensive for Lidl, but cheaper and nicer than the disappointng stuff you get in the other supermarkets.

I still like M&S but a treat from Lidl is nice as well.

Not sure if it is part of the lidls deluxe range but their 5 pack bars of chocolate branded Bellarom are second to none and only cost 1 pound for 5 individually wrapped bars (40g each), I bought the creamy chocolate type yesterday which has a minimum of 45% cocoa soilds and which has no competitors under 2 quid a bar imo.
