I'm holding a circus-themed party this weekend, in amongst the playlist I wanted to put some circus-esque songs in.

Other than the obvious (Britney - Circus) can you think of any other songs that are reminiscent of the circus (in lyrics or sound)?

I get the feeling that these might not fit in with your mood, but Being For The Benefit Of Mr Kite is the obvious one, off Sergeant Pepper. If you want something really obscure, there is about a minute of utterly bonkers circus music right at the end of King Crimson's Lizard album, but I'm not sure if it even has a title for downloading it. It follows a guitar solo called Prince Rupert's Lament - definitely not a track to break the ice at parties.

Just thought of another one - absolutely brilliant. Look up Nellie The Elephant by Mandy Millar. Perfect.

Add Bad Influence by her to the list too.
