It seems the judges had no idea how unpopular Matt was and how popular Beth was, which is good, except...

Wow Matt did even worse than I expected Beth topped most of the weeks as well!

Surprised Samia topped in week 1, especially as that was surrounding the whole Sylvain controversy and I was expecting her to be B2 a the the time.

I think the judges, knew exactly how unpopular they were hence the OTT praise week in week out to try and change opinion(and to keep them at the top of the leader board and not in the skate off)), but it never worked looking at the final vote results

And the band played "Believe me if you like."

True, it wasn't even anywhere near close! Hope Matt sees this

He wont believe it is right, his smug attitude is one thing i could not stand about him, looking at the votes i think a lot of people thought that also

Absolutely chuffed to bits for Beth and Dan and so pleased the GBP saw through the judges manipulation.

Didn't think it was that much of a gulf and if it hadn't been for the stupid mindless judges overinflating his score and his ego he should probably have been gone weeks ago.

I know what I really want to put but that would probably get me into trouble.

I think Samia may have scraped the higher scores on the first week because of all the press intrusion stuff and how upset she was etc etc plus being the Corrie star wouldn't have hurt at that point and remember Jason was a bit mean to her so that gets the anti Jason vote and then her other highest was the week of her headbanger which makes sense as the public tend to vote for the wow factor.

Samia did so well - yes!

So, why did the judges back a loser if they knew Matt's vote was hopeless ? Better to back the shoe-in winner, Beth.

thanks for those diamond1 - forgive me asking but how did Matt and Brianne escape the skate off so many times when they were clearly at the bottom with votes Im confused

The votes are combined with the judges scores

because the judges made sure they were top of their vote

They were just viewers votes - when combined with the judges constantly putting them at the top of the leader board they escaped the ignominy.

They were actual bottom two with the viewers 7 times out of eight and of course Beth and Dan slaughtered them in the final.

Interestingly Matt and Brianne received a lower percentage of the vote after Bolero than they received on the first vote.

Oh how the mighty are fallen - and that includes the judges.

Very interesting. He only got just over half the amount of Shayne the week Shayne was eliminated. And much lower than Luke most of the time! It's embarrassing really haha.

The judges scores helping Matt survive as long as he did, really no idea what they saw in him.

LMAO at the Beth landslide, she slayed him.

Oh how it's great to finally see these, just goes to show how manipulative the judges and producers really were to keep golden boy in, because if they had not been inflating his score so much he would have been in the SO the most out of all the other contenders, disgusting from the judges , this just proves that their 'opinions and guidance' cannot be trusted in future series now as you will always be wondering what agenda will they be working towards. Totally unprofessional and not impartial like they are supposed to be employed to be.

Wonder if Matt and Brianne and the infamous four will make comments on twitter.

the extent of Matt's unpopularity surprises me as on paper he has many of attributes that usually get votes

dancing/performing background
his skating was sloppy but he wasn't the worst by far

so he obviously didn't come across well at all with the public

Yes she did! So nice to see she had the public support. Never realised Matt was quite so unpopular though.
