Anyone watching the results show? Enjoyed the song choices last night.

a bit annoyed that this is getting so little amount of discussion this season, still a great show,

I know, the forum seems so quiet this year! Was surprised to see that person go.

Hiya ellie, I'm watching, but didn't see the other show, so a bit of a dead loss re who goes, as I don't know these guys. But will try and remember next time.

Nice voices, and sound, but too many Shines, imo

Phillip is back with guitar, and looks the same. Catchy song, not too bad. 9/10

He got a Platinum, lucky for some, but well done, all the same

...and where's everyone, or are we back on the desert island?

Curtis for the chop. He can sing well, but at times goes ott, imo, nice guy though. Heard him at the auditions, and had potential, but he's gone now...

I think the judges were right not to save Curtis. He was a good singer, albeit a little manic for my taste, but they need to keep their 'save' for a more worthy contestant.

How the heck did Lazaro get more votes than Amber??

He has one of the weakest voices this year.

Candice was definitely the standout performance for me. And I still love Kree so am happy with the top 3 so far.

But omg watching Bon Jovi is making me feel ancient!!! One's teenage pinups should never ever be allowed to perform when they get pallid and wrinkly like that!!!

exactly! I think (at least I thought) that Amber had a shot at winning the whole show!

and as for Lazaro being the 'best boy', don't think that is right, one of the weakest...

Never underestimate the power of the sympathy vote.

I love the new style Idol, it's good to see the rankings. The judges were right not to save Curtis, I thought he was a real standout in the auditions but he has just chosen dreadful songs in the live shows (well, the songs aren't bad, he just shouldn't be doing them). He really killed his chances with the horrific Fantasia mess last night, not many can sing that song without it sounding overdone or cheesy. Joshua did a fantastic version last year, pity Curtis doesn't have the range or the incredible vocal control Joshua possesses in droves.

The top three tonight was perfect, exactly my top three also, love Candice and Angie. Was on the Angie boat all the way prior to this week, but I'm teetering on the edge and looking over into the Candice boat now!

Some astonishing rankings - I can understand Devin and Burnell falling short of votes, great voices but neither are exciting, but how did Lazaro manage fourth? Even giving his best performance he's still a distant 11th. The sympathy vote has a lot to answer for. I like Paul, he seems a lovely guy, pleasant voice, beautiful to look at, but he should have joined Lazaro in the bottom two this week. Either him or Janelle, who I'd liken to a poor man's Hollie Cavanagh.

Oh and Burnell doing Westlife? Classic

Glad they didn't use the save, right decision, also looked like they would of done but that Keith didn't want to, good call.

The ladies this year are a different class really. None of the men, barring a near on miracle, stand a chance. Right now I'd actually fancy last nights top three to be the final three, though there's room for a few things to change between now and then and a couple of underdogs that's for sure.

Cant really see anybody doing better than Angie after the show though, win or lose. I'd be surprised if she's not massive.

Delighted with that result, Curtis was by far my least favourite, the look on his face when he was singing was always like "You should be honored to be in the presence of my singing, I am that awesome" his save me song was awful.

Glad Burnell is effectively the top guy without sympathy vote, I think he's the only guy with a shot of sneaking ahead of the girls, it's all down to song choice for him.

Shocked Angie is ahead of Amber to be honest, Angie is very good, but she's always very safe and a bit like we've seen it all before. Amber has something special, I can't work out what, but for someone who is singing that sort of Whitney/Mariah/Leona big ballad songs, she doesn't come across as just another girl screaming out those tracks, if that makes sense.

Candice for me has it in the bag so far though. Her and Kree are a class ahead.

Candice and Kree definitely my favourites, I'm not so keen on Angie, there is something sort of meh about her, I'm not sure what though.

I didn't like Curtis, I couldn't figure out why until about 10 minutes ago. He reminds me of my ex husband. Not really physically (ex husband was asian) but in the way he moves and his over the top emotional thing when he was singing. This is not a fair reason to dislike the guy, I will admit, but there you have it.

Good luck to Charlie though, I think he's great.

I think that result was fair tbh, Curtis had a decent voice but had an arrogance to him which I didn't like. I also couldn't really see him being particularly successful even if he had one so no real loss there.

I don't see now how any of the guys could win, the talent of the girls is far superior. It will be interesting to see how the next eliminations go and how it all turns out. I'm pretty sure it will be one of Angie, Kree, Candace or Amber who end up winning (I have a funny feeling it may be Amber, emerging through as a slight underdog in comparison to the other girls). Saying that I think Kree may just steal it in the end. All worthy at this point imo.

I wasn't too bothered about Curtis going, he was probably one of the better singers, but being in the same style as Joshua Ledet he was always going to be compared by the viewers and he's not as good in my opinion.
I think Devin has the potential to go further, but his song choice this week was awful, hopefully he'll do better next week.

So pleased with the result. My 3 favorite girls in the top 3. I am glad Nikki did not her way and save Curtis. He was my least fav.. of the top 10. Lazaro in the top 4 after his performance just goes to show how much the sympathy vote counts. I hope they never ask him a question on live TV again, it was painful. All of the girls out performed the boys on the show. Amber did well, but the standing O was OTT. Kelly and Leona were much, much better.

Angie is still my favorite even though Candice stole the show.

I posted a while ago that I hoped Curtis will be the first to go - glad America agreed. Even when you look past the whole arrogance thing, he's really not that great a singer or performer. Strip out the fancy high notes and his voice is pretty average, and he always seemed so over the top with his mannerisms and facial expressions.

The fact that Nicki and Mariah were so shocked that he was bottom shows that they could be out of their depth on Idol. Mariah may be a vocal legend but when it comes to judging other singers it seems like she is struggling a bit. Nicki is also running out of things to say.

Personally I would've swapped Devin out of the bottom two and put Paul in there.
