Hollyoaks - Unclekevo's version!
I've tried and failed many times but I'm going to do this one and commit to it, instead of writing episodes on a weekly basis, I will write a synopsis for each individual episode. Quote:
New series producer to take the reigns in Hollyoaks! With my episodes due to begin week beginning April 1st, below is a recap of what happens between Monday 18th March and then*:C4 soap Hollyoaks have announced that Kevin O'Hara will take over as series producer of the popular programme. O'Hara whose credits include scriptwriting duties on the third series of Hollyoaks Later and senior writer for Northern Irish teen drama Six Degrees joined the programme as Series Producer in February of this year but his first episodes as producer will debut on Monday 1st April. Speaking about his role, O'Hara commented: ''It's an honour to be taking over the reigns of a show such as Hollyoaks. I hope to continue the great work done by [Executive Producer] Bryan Kirkwood and have many exciting and interesting things planned for the show. Meanwhile, Executive Producer Bryan Kirwood said: ''Kevin has been doing a fantastic job and I'm confident that viewers will really engage with his vision for the soap. Since the beginning of the year, a number of big characters have left the show including more recently, Mitzeee Minniver (Rachel Shenton), Brendan Brady (Emmett J. Scanlan) and Cheryl Brady (Bronagh Waugh). Digital Spy will be talking to the new producer in a few weeks.

Five characters to exit Hollyoaks! The entire Savage family have been axed from C4 soap 'Hollyoaks', it has been revealed. The family, consisting of father Dirk, villain Will, ditzy Liberty, their half-brother Dodger, and cousin Dennis will all make their exits from the show later this year, as Will and Texas' wedding day ends in chaos. However, contrary to reports, it has not been confirmed if bride Texas Longford (Bianca Hendrickse-Spendlove) will be killed off, with any of the Savage family being in danger of meeting their maker when the boat goes up in flames. It is thought that Dodger's (Danny Mac's) twin sister Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) and father Patrick Blake (Jeremy Sheffield) will both be sticking around as will be recently arrival, matriarch Anna Savage (Saskia Wickham). Series producer, Kevin O'Hara commented: ''The Savage family have been at the heart of some of Chester's most exciting plots in the past two years however all good things must come to an end and loyal Dirk, talented musician Liberty, ladies' favourite Dodger, quirky Dennis and villainous Will will all be leaving Chester. Their final episodes will be unmissable as Will's scheming comes to a halt with literally explosive consequences!" The Savage family's exits will be screened in June. Quote:
Theresa, Mercedes McQueen and Dr. Browning to leave Hollyoaks The McQueen family is set to witness the exit of two more members of the family this year when cousin Theresa (Jorgie Porter) and sizzler Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) leave the C4 soap forever. Both characters will leave Chester later this year, although the details of how they will exit are being kept under wraps. Also leaving is Mercedes' partner Doctor Browning (Joseph Thompson) who set screens alight last year when it was revealed that he was responsible for the murder of show favourite Lynsey Nolan. Recent weeks have seen Theresa and cousin Jacqui (Claire Cooper) having to deal with Jacqui's bitter ex-cellmate Trudy (Daniella Westbrook) and it is thought that Theresa will leave the village in the wake of Jacqui's departure. Mercedes and Doctor Browning will take centre stage later this month when the evil doc returns from Vegas without Mercy in tow! However, for those worried that the McQueen household will be depleted, it has been confirmed that Myra's mother Nana (Diane Langton) has been upgraded to regular cast. Series Producer Kevin O'Hara said: ''We're sad to lose Mercy, Theresa and the Doc but there's still a lot of drama to come for these three fantastic characters. Mercedes has kept viewers on the edge of their seats and caught the eye of many males in the village in the seven years she has appeared on screen but her exit will be unmissable viewing as her and the Doc face trouble courtesy of Claire (Gemma Bissix) and you won't be disappointed by her exit." "Theresa will also be leaving us, when, just like cousin Jacqui, her past begins to catch up with her." Quote:
Russ Owen to return to Hollyoaks! Current Characters:Russ Owen is set to make a short stop back in Hollyoaks village, it has been confirmed. Russ, who last appeared in 2009 will return briefly after Phoebe Jackson (Mandip Gill) contacts him, having found out from Carmel (Gemma Merna) about Max and Russ. It is thought that his return will tie in with Jacqui's (Claire Cooper's) exit in late April. Stuart Manning, who played Russ confirmed the news on Twitter today saying: ''To those asking, yes, Russ will return to @Hollyoaks, but only for a few episodes. His return tied to exit of Jacqui! (sic)" Russ' return will air on screen in late April. Monday 1st March

When he tells Myra that Mercy disappeared in Las Vegas, her concerned family automatically suspect that Browning may have something to do with her disappearance, what has happened to the McQueen lady?
Over at the pub, Maxine apologetically tells Frankie and Jack that Mitzeee has informed her that she has sold the pub, as the couple prepare to tell their family the bad news. Over at the Savage's boat, still reeling from Anna's return last week, Dirk insists that the family have to stick together at this time, but it's clear that his children can't agree on the return of the matriarch as Will is determined to welcome her into the family whilst Liberty is a bit more sceptical, due to the doubts spread by Dodger and Sienna. Are Anna's claims accurate or is she lying to worm her way back into the family? Ruby continues to try with Esther but the teen makes it clear that whilst she appreciates her former friend's eagerness to make it up to her, it will take a long time for her to forgive her for what she has done. Seeing that the relationship between Ruby and Esther is still patchy, Nancy encourages Ruby to help Esther with her fashion designs. Nancy, still dependant on painkillers, reaches out to the Doctor to get a new prescription but with Mercy's disappearance weighing heavy on his mind, he carelessly signs a prescription for her, will his actions come back to bite him. As the Osbornes call 'Last Orders', aware that the new owner will be in touch in the not so distant future, they receive an unexpected patron. Tuesday 2nd April
Myra distracts Browning by asking him to check Kathleen Angel as she isn't feeling well. When he's distracted, Theresa steals his phone from his jacket and frantically searches through his call history to see if she can track Mercedes down, still convinced that Doctor Browning is behind her disappearance. Seeing explicit texts which have been sent to another woman, Theresa is immediately worried and her concerns grow when Carmel attempts to phone her sister and a familiar voice answers. Worried about Mercy's disappearing act, Carmel asks her partner why Clare Devine answered Mercy's phone! Confused, Browning insists that he has no idea who Clare Devine is, but when Carmel threatens to report him to the police, he admits that he had sex with a mystery blonde in Vegas. When the blonde swindled him out of several thousands, Mercedes found out and stormed off leaving all her belongings behind but the blonde returned and seduced him again, this time stealing Mercy's phone.
Over at the Dog, Frankie angrily orders Clare out but a smug Clare informs them that she owns the pub now and it's her decision who stays and goes. However, trying to convince the family that she's not here to cause trouble, she tells him that she isn't interested in living in the flat above the pub and offers to allow them to continue living there as tenants. Still unsure of whether they can trust someone who attempted to kill Tom's guardian Max, the Osbornes attempt to buy her out by offering her more than what she paid for the pub, on the basis that Darren cashes in the winning betting slip that Seamus left behind. However, Clare cannot be negotiated with and says she has no interest in letting the pub go so soon, unable to kick the Kanes out of their home due to Darren's actions a few weeks ago, the family must admit defeat and agree to become tenants, the question is has Clare changed? Jacqui is forced to work alone when Trudy gives Theresa the day off but she is terrified when she comes across creepy Alan again, and her day gets worse when Trudy locks her in a room with her predator, panicking, Jacqui phones the one person she can rely on, Tony, will her former flame be able to rescue her before it's too late this time? At College Coffee, Patrick agrees to meet Anna who wishes to ask him not to stop her from seeing Sienna and Dodger but the usually cool principal loses his temper and calls his ex a 'stupid, unhinged mess' in front of a concerned Ash and Barney. When they relay the information on to Will, he decides to keep an eye on Patrick. Current Cast:

An interesting storyline with Clare, it'll be interesting to see whether she has changed. And I'm also assuming she looks less like a disheveled prostitute now. The grease in her hair in 2009 could have allowed her to own a chippy.

Later that evening, a furious Phoebe and George march round to Diane's house and tell their mother about Sinead's treatment of Esther. Fearing that she has killed him, Jacqui shouts to Tony to run and the two of them quickly make an escape. Has Jacqui committed murder and will her past catch up with her?
John Paul is concerned when Patrick makes an off-kilter comment about 'You being all the same' when he mentions Jen's unceremonious sacking last week. When he later sees Patrick coming down hard on George for something minor, he begins to wonder if his boss is homophobic. Over at the boathouse, Texas tries to convince Liberty to let her mother in however the innocent girl is still finding herself being easily led by the words of her half siblings Dodger and Sienna. Anna bumps into Dirk in the village and after an initial awkwardness, there appears to be a spark between the former partners, as Anna shows Dirk the photos she kept of them and the three children as a family before she left, Dirk asks her why she abandoned them. She says that she kept wanting to return but thought that Dirk would have moved on, and is shocked when he tells her he hasn't really gotten over her. However, he's concerned by Anna's reluctance to talk about Dodger and Sienna and when she suddenly walks off after seeing Sienna, he begins to question whether Anna has told them the whole truth. Browning continues his trail of the young woman and his concerns are raised when he spots her chatting to Davies. Assuming that she must be a prostitute and therefore Clare must be selling the girls for sex, he waits back until he sees her leaving again and approaches her, asking to pay her for her services. But the young woman is not what he assumed she was and promptly phones the police on him, will his investigations into Mercy's disappearance stop there? Back at the McQueen household, a panic stricken Jacqui is quiet, as Tony tries to calm her down. Seeing the two together, Myra assumes that they're back together but when a detective arrives to question Jacqui on the murder of Alan, she falls to pieces. However, it appears that things aren't as clear cut as they seem when another police car arrives escorting Browning back to the house. When the detective makes a swift departure, and Trudy sends Jacqui a message saying: 'It's your lucky day', it appears that the whole thing is a farce. Back at the Dog, the young woman informs Clare that a man mistook her for a prostitute. When she puts two and two together and realizes that it was Browning, she smiles and thanks her employee Sara for her good work before sending Browning a message from Mercy's phone, telling him that the game continues. Friday 5th April
Jacqui returns to work after her ordeal yesterday, and is terrified when creepy Alan is once again manning the door. As Theresa offers her support, she tries to act normally and carries on with her work but when Trudy asks her to clean a different room, using the excuse to talk to her privately, she makes it clear that she's going to continue to make her life a misery until she regrets 'that night'. Trudy then mentions Jacqui's knight in shining armour, asking if he couldn't be the one to give her a child before laughing callously, what is Trudy implying?
Elsewhere, Sinead begs her step-mother to give her a second chance, telling her that she'll try to make amends for what she has done to Esther by supporting her child, even if Dane is her main guardian. Convinced that Sinead is taking a step in the right direction, Diane agrees to give her another chance and asks Cindy not to report her to the line manager. Reluctantly agreeing, Cindy makes an effort to be there for Sinead at work but can a leopard change their spots? Apparently not as she bumps into Ruby and Esther in the village and criticizes Ruby for trying to act all holier than thou. However, as Ruby bites back, saying that she regrets everything she did to Esther and not seeing that Esther was a true friend, unlike Sinead, Esther shows similar determination in telling Sinead that at least Ruby is trying to make an effort. Sinead storms off, furious but it's looking unlikely that anyone can forgive and forget just yet. Browning remains undeterred by the obstacles Clare has placed in his path and determined to get to the bottom of Mercy's disappearance, he takes drastic measures in breaking into Clare's flat, which was previously occupied by Sienna and Patrick. Finding contact details and wads of cash, Browning phones one of the numbers and is shocked to hear the voice of Davies' wife on the phone. Recognizing the voice, she asks Browning how he has her number, he lies saying he's a friend of Clare's and she begins to talk about her services. Arranging to meet her, Browning sets off but it seems that the walls have ears as Clare is hot on his heels. However, the doc has the upper hand when he gets in touch with Susan before Clare can and is informed that Clare has set-up a honey trap. Wondering if he can blackmail her, Browning returns to the pub and tells Clare that he won't tell all about her little side business if she tells him where Mercedes is. Clare laughs and tells him that if Mercedes wanted to get in touch, she would. When she says she'll send flowers round in the morning, Browning panics, is Mercedes alive? Arriving back at the McQueens, Browning receives a frosty reception when he comes face to face with a battered and bruised Mercedes...who claims that he beat her up, what has happened to Mercedes and why is she lying to her family? Monday 8th April
Nancy lies and tells Tom that she has a headache and was taking a headache tablet, but sussing that something isn't quite right, Tom voices his concerns to Esther. Esther, having experienced what it feels like to seek comfort from pills gets the wrong end of the stick and thinks that Nancy is attempting to overdose because she can't cope with Oscar's hearing impairment. Asking Nancy if she needs support, Esther hits a nerve when the troubled mother snaps back at her, and Darren walks in, berating his wife for being insensitive to Esther but she soon sees the error of her ways and attempts to make it up to Esther by taking her shopping.
Over at the boathouse, Dirk decides to try and get sense from Anna by inviting her for lunch with him and the former couple soon bond when he brings out the family album. Their lunch is soon cut short however when Dodger arrives and demands to know why he's even giving Anna the time of day. However, Dirk hits back at Dodger, telling him that he should try and see things from Anna's perspective. Thanking Dirk for his kindness, it looks like Anna may move in for a kiss but she soon catches on and heads for the door again. However, Dirk demands to know why she is so weird around Sienna. A tearful Anna begins to break down and reveals that she met Sienna again when she was sixteen, posing as a counsellor and Sienna harboured deep resentment for her mother, not knowing she was face to face with her. Thinking there's more to it, Dirk pushes her and she says that Patrick used to tell her that their daughter would be a great mother unlike her, to the point that she convinced herself that Sienna would never amount to anything if she was around her. Unbeknownst to them, Sienna hears this as she prepares to storm in after hearing from Dodger that Anna is at the boathouse but she decides to leave again, have Anna's words changed Sienna's opinion of her mother? Mercedes recounts the full ordeal of how Browning beat her to a pulp and the family prepare to phone the police, but Jacqui is unconvinced by her sister's account of the story, and it seems like Nana doesn't believe her either when Nana asks her where she has been the past few days and Mercedes gives a vague answer. When Nana later finds that Mercedes has retrieved her phone, she asks her where she got it and her granddaughter tells her that she never lost her phone. Nana decides to do some investigating of her own and goes to the pub to see Clare. It seems like she doesn't even have to do any questioning when Frankie asks her if Mercedes is alright as she saw her in earlier speaking to Clare. Armed with this information, Nana prepares to return and question her granddaughter further but it seems like it's not to be when a panicked Carmel phones her to say that Mercy has collapsed. Doctor Browning attempts to resuscitate his partner but it's not looking good and an ambulance is called. As they peruse the shops, Esther spots tablets in Nancy's handbag but decides not to question her on it, instead making a note of the prescription, seeing that they were issued by Doctor Browning, Esther prepares her questions for him but he has other concerns. Back at the Dog, Frankie and Jack have their own problems when they see a drunken man stumbling in and he angrily asks to speak to Clare. What have they let themselves in for? At the hospital, Mercedes flatlines, is it the end for the McQueen? Cast List:

Robert Toretto: 'Hayes is capable of anything'
Quote:
New Hollyoaks star Robert Toretto has spoken exclusively to Digital Spy about his character Hayes, who debuted on C4 screens tonight [Monday 8th]. Toretto, who has signed a 6 week contract with the show, debuted as Clare Devine (Gemma Bissix)'s violent on-off boyfriend in tonight's episode when he stormed into the Dog and drunkenly demanded to speak to Clare. And Toretto has told us that his character's personality will lead to us seeing a new side to the C4 soap's villainous Clare. 'Hayes is the only one capable of making Clare look weak', the London-born actor said. 'He's a totally domineering force in their relationship and his unpredictable nature makes even Clare a bit scared of him. He can be a charmer when he wants to be but he will come down heavy on anyone who crosses him.' Telling us what to expect from his character, he said: 'Violence, lots of violence. I've filmed scenes with Gemma [Bissix] where we had to halt filming because I thought I'd actually hit her.' However, it seems that Chester has an effect on Clare as she finally starts to fight back. 'From what we're told, Clare has sort of let Hayes walk over her, mainly because he has been giving her all that she wants. As a professional gambler, he makes all his decisions on the spin of a wheel and that includes his relationship. Let's just say he wasn't the most faithful partner which led to Clare's side-venture where she set up a honeytrap agency. However, London Clare is a different person to Chester Clare and she enjoys winding him up. He only discovered about her little business venture which she had been operating when they were in Vegas a few weeks ago which led to her swiftly leaving. He hates that she has her own money and he's even less impressed when he finds out what she got up to with Browning, it's definitely one rule for him and another for her.' Although Robert has signed for a six-week contract, the actor revealed that both he and producers are open to extending it: 'If Hayes is a hit with the viewers, the producers have said they'd most definitely offer me something more permanent. His role in the Mercedes/Browning/Clare storyline is integral and he will most definitely make his presence in the village known.'

Hollyoaks: Roscoe Family Castings Announced!
Quote:
Hollyoaks have announced the five actors set to take on the roles of the new Roscoe family, who will be headed up by former Eastenders star Gillian Taylforth. More episode information to follow tomorrow.
The youngest Roscoe, 17-year-old Robbie who has been described as 'a loose wire' and 'capable of causing all amounts of chaos' will be played by up and coming actor Jamie Bourne. Meanwhile, 18-year-old Gregory Roscoe, who will arrive towards the middle of June when he moves into Chester, after completing the last of his A Levels back in London where he had been staying with Sandy's sister is to be played by former Tracy Beaker star Felix Drake. Although Gregory is extremely intelligent and hard-working, he is hiding a big secret from his whole family and will do anything to stop it from getting out. The eldest Roscoe, 28-year-old Jonathan Roscoe will be played by Ryan Leigh. As the eldest, Jonathan has been the father figure to his younger brothers since the death of their father when Robbie was just an infant. He is fiercely protective, particularly of Matthew but it leads to clashes with his brother Jamesy who likes to think of himself as the man of the house. 25-year-old Jamesy will be portrayed by Scott Hume. He, much like Jonathan fancies himself as the alpha-male of the family but of course, there can only be one domineering male force in the house and this leads to arguments between the two brothers. He is a party animal and likes to pick and choose between the ladies but when it comes to looking after his family, he appears to take a different approach to his older brother. Matthew Roscoe has been described as 'a heartbreaker' and 'the type of person who everyone will fall in love with'. Despite having autism, Matthew tries to live a normal life and often finds himself being suffocated by mother Sandy who tries to make up for his disorder by being overprotective of her son. He is played by Grange Hill star Matthew Buckley, who captivated audiences with his portrayal of aspergers' sufferer Martin Miller for six years, between 2001 and 2007 on the BBC1 childrens' television programme. Buckley has been out of the limelight since then, preferring to stay behind the camera as a runner and aspiring TV producer, but Lime Pictures whom Buckley has worked with before have managed to convince him to step infront of the camera again. Show insiders have tipped Matthew 'to blow viewers away'. Series Producer, Kevin O'Hara said: ''I'd like to welcome all five young men to Hollyoaks. Every one of the Roscoe family will bring a new dynamic to the show. Eldest Jonathan and his brother Jamesy will be trying to knock each other off their respective perches and this unconventional sibling relationship will undoubtedly lead to fireworks. Youngest Robbie will cause all sorts of trouble for Sandy but it's quiet Gregory who is going to end up causing the most strife for his mother when his big secret comes tumbling out. We have loads of exciting storylines planned out for all of the Roscoe family, and we're confident that Matthew's touching storyline will really strike a chord with audiences. He will find love quite quickly in Chester but the path of true love never runs quite smoothly and there are going to be lots of obstacles to overcome for Matthew and one local, however it will be a truly touching tale of against all odds romance'. Robbie Roscoe will be the first of the family to appear, when he makes his debut on screen later this month. |

Tuesday 9th April
Clare is concerned when Frankie tells her that someone is here to see her and comes across a worse for wear Hayes. Panicking that she'll be seen, Clare quickly escorts him to the flat and instructs him not to go anywhere until she gets back, however the aggressive newcomer tells her that he has beaten her at her own game before callously laughing, what is he inferring?
Over at the hospital, the doctors manage to get a pulse to the McQueens' relief but Myra refuses to allow Browning anywhere near her, saying that as soon as Mercy is well enough to speak to the police, they will be reporting him. An overwhelmed Browning begins to show emotion, and Nana comforts him, telling him that she has her own doubts. When the doctors tell the family that visiting hours are over and only two family members can stay with her, Carmel and Myra opt to be at her bedside and Nana uses it as an excuse to go the Dog. Phoebe continues to feel neglected by the family as they make her look after the children but nobody rings to keep her updated on Mercy's condition. Clare is already shaken by Hayes' mysterious reappearance and takes a quick glass of wine to calm her nerves but when a severe Nana questions her over Mercy's injuries, Clare remains undeterred and tells her incensed grandmother that Mercedes is her own woman, and she has no control over what she does. Nana tells her that Mercedes is in hospital due to the battering she received courtesy of someone, who she claims to be Browning but she believes that Clare has a hand in it. As Nana continues to rant, Carmel comes to remove her from the pub, believing that she has taken it as an opportunity to have a drink, but it's clear that something has triggered in Clare's mind as she quickly gets Darren to cover for her and rushes off, could Hayes' words be linked to Mercy's injuries? John Paul remains confused by his boss Patrick's sudden personality change, and witnesses him showing double standards by allowing Diane to get out early to take Sinead to a medical check-up but refuses to allow him to go and visit his sister in hospital. Deciding to confront him over what he perceives to be unfair treatment, John Paul is told that if he isn't happy with how Patrick is running things, he recommends that he find work in a nursery school. John Paul is shocked at his boss' chauvinistic attitude and wonders if Jen's sacking has triggered a change in tolerance. Anna is shocked, meanwhile when she receives a visit from Sienna. Revealing that she heard what she had to say to Dirk, Sienna asks Anna why she never tried to get in contact with her over the years. However, Anna insists that she sent letters and even visited Patrick's mother's house to try and get in touch with them but he continued to allude her, even going to the means of placing a restraining order on her when she tried to arrange the chance to meet her daughter again. Sienna is shocked to hear of a different side to the father she has known but wonders if this is just a biased side to the story. Trying to test the believability of Anna's story, her daughter questions her over her disappearing act from Dodger, Will and Liberty's life too and is told that she feared Patrick tracking her down. Sienna is confused at the apparent contradiction between the two stories but when Anna mentions struggling with post-natal depression after Liberty was born, it seems to fit. However, Sienna is still unsure of whether to trust her mother again and decides that she needs to asks her father questions. Elsewhere, Theresa is horrified to be informed by Jacqui that her inability to conceive may have had something to do with an incident in prison, caused by Trudy. She refuses to reveal any more but she says that Trudy's bitterness comes from when Jacqui and her shared a cell. When Trudy interrupts their chat to ask them to finish up early, the girls are confused but it appears like she's trying to get them out of the way. However, as Jacqui gets her coat, Trudy tells her that if she utters another word about their history to anyone, she will make sure that someone does what 'he' failed to do years before. Sick to the stomach, Jacqui contemplates quitting the job, and weighs up her options. That night, as she hits the bottle she ends up back at Tony's flat but it brings back old memories and she promptly leaves, has re-opening old memories caused any chance of a reunion with Tony to fade? Wednesday 10th March
Tony chases after Jacqui, desperate to know the reason for her strange behaviour. When she tells him that they can't repeat the past, he asks her why not and she says 'Because we can't have children'. Thinking back to his pain at he and Jacqui not being able to have a child, he remembers the guilt Jacqui felt and begins to wonder why she blamed herself so much. As they sit down in the McQueens house, Tony asks Jacqui why she hated herself so much for not being able to have a baby and she says that it's because it was all her fault. Not understanding what she's talking about, Tony is taken aback when Jacqui says that her infertility was most definitely caused by something that happened in prison.
Elsewhere, Clare is horrified when she realises that Mercedes' family are going to find out that her injuries are partly down to her and she tries to convince Hayes to leave the village. However, when he refuses to go, she resorts to desperate measures and threatens to kill him, as a desperate Clare does anything in her power to point the blame away from herself, it all comes too late when Hayes strikes back and levels a blow at her face. As she sees the violence her boyfriend is capable of inflicting, she knows that she needs to report him to the police for what he did to Mercedes. However, she also knows that the police will arrest her for her illegal honeytrapping agency. She decides that she needs to team up with Browning but after she tried to get him into trouble, will she be able to convince him to help her get rid of Hayes? Esther is worried about Nancy's dependance on the pills, but she knows that she can't remove them from her bag or Frankie will believe that she's trying to overdose again. Deciding that she needs to tell someone, Esther confides in Ruby and asks her to steal the pills from Nancy's handbag. As Ruby successfully retrieves the painkillers, she is caught by Frankie who believes that she is trying to cause Esther to overdose again. This is the straw that broke the camel's back it seems, and Frankie tells her that they'll be ringing her parents and sending her back to Spain as it's clear that she hasn't changed. Seeing that they were prescribed by Browning, Frankie storms round to his flat to confront him about supplying pills to a minor but a confused Browning tells her that the only person he has prescribed pills to has been Nancy. Frankie returns to the Dog and promptly apologizes to Ruby, asking why she took pills from Nancy's bag. Knowing that they can't hide the truth from her, Esther and Ruby tell Frankie that they think Nancy is addicted to painkillers. Meanwhile, a panicked Nancy can't find painkillers and begins to lose control, suffering a panic attack, will Frankie be willing to support her daughter-in-law? Jacqui flashes back to her time in prison, as she tells Tony the dark tale of her time in prison. One of the wardens, Richard was a creep who would attempt to seduce all of the prisoners but unebknownst to them, he had raped some of those in the neighbouring cells. Jacqui shared a cell with Trudy and another girl, Melissa. One night, Richard tried to force himself onto Melissa. Seeing what was happening, Jacqui and Trudy tried to rescue her, by attacking the prison warden. However, the lecherous officer turned his attentions to Jacqui and locked her in the bathroom before beginning to try to rape her. As Trudy and Melissa forced their way in, Trudy hit him across the temple and killed him. However, as Trudy had already been bullying some of the other prisoners, both Jacqui and Melissa testified, saying that Trudy killed him and that they had no involvement in his murder. Trudy was sent for a longer stretch in prison, for manslaughter. Tony comforts an upset Jacqui, however she is unsettled when she receives a text from Trudy, chillingly informing her that the walls have ears. Elsewhere, Sienna and Ash go for a night out in the SU Bar, as they stumble back in the early hours of the morning, Sienna sees her brother Dodger at a distance, however, she's alarmed when she sees that it's not Theresa he is drunkenly kissing but Texas. The jealous young woman is filled with rage, will she cause problems for Texas? Cast List:

Thursday 11th April
Clare goes to see Browning, who refuses to listen to the words of the devious blonde. However, when she tells him that there's a way of getting him off the hook for the attack on Mercedes, he picks up his ears. Clare tells him that her boyfriend Hayes was behind the attack due to her using Mercedes as a honey trap in order to test Hayes' fidelity. When Hayes cottoned on to the plan, he turned violent. However, Browning doesn't trust Clare and asks her why why Mercedes is pretending that Browning was behind the attack, as Clare appears less open to reveal any information, he sees her for the 'double crossing witch that she is' and storms out. However, Clare needs him on her side so she goes around to the McQueens to iron things out.
Sienna visits Texas and issues her with a chilling threat. She tells her that she saw her kissing Dodger, when Texas insists that it was a drunken mistake, his twin informs her that she can make her life hell if she double crosses her, the rule has been laid down, lay off Dodger or she will tear everything apart for her. However, Anna has overheard the conversation and she is shocked to see Sienna's devious side coming out, seeing how Texas stuck up for her previously, Anna tells Sienna that they need to stick together but makes it clear that she will not let anyone hurt Dodger or Will. However, Sienna picks the message up wrong and thinks that Anna is prioritizing the boys over her, she says 'Yes, Dodger and Will are your priorities of course' and storms out. Over at the Dog, Jack and Darren are none the wiser to the chaos going on between the females of the family as Frankie decides to bite the bullet and discuss the painkillers with Nancy. Immediately defensive, Nancy is ready to argue with her normally cold mother-in-law but she's shocked when Frankie shows sympathy towards her and says that she knows that things are hard for her. As Frankie appears to be willing to support Nancy, it looks like she is stretching out the hand of friendship to Darren's wife, who has had a turbulent relationship with Frankie in the past. However, can Nancy face up to her problems? At college, Diane and Patrick clash over the subject of George when he reacts angrily to some of the other male students picking on Pheobe. Refusing to see it from his perspective, Patrick threatens to suspend the student but Diane sees that he was just defending a friend and asks Patrick what he would do if someone was picking on a friend of his. However, Patrick says that George is uncontrollable. JP observes the whole argument and begins to wonder if his boss is showing his true colours. Jacqui returns to work with Theresa and is confused by Trudy's behaviour as everything is nice with her but it soon becomes clear that Trudy is playing another sick game when Jacqui witnesses her organizing an armed robbery. However, when she realizes that it's Atwell's that Trudy is trying to rob, she is sick at the thought of her boss trying to ruin her personal life. She quickly gets on the phone to Tony but Trudy comes in shortly afterwards and says that she doesn't like loudmouths. As Jacqui and Theresa return from work that night, they plot to get rid of Trudy for good, by getting a record of her illegal business in order to get her arrested. Their problems may well be made worse when they see Jack and Darren taking a new order of alcohol, it's vodka from Trudy's business! Cast List:

Friday 12th April
Jacqui and Theresa panic and try to convince Jack and Darren to return the vodka, however the confused bar owners don't have a clue what Jacqui and Theresa are so worried about. When they claim that the vodka is not safe, Darren accuses the McQueens of tampering with their order but they protest their innocence urging them to take the vodka back. As an unsure Jack and Darren retreat to the pub to consult Clare, little do they know that rebellious Holly has stolen a bottle of the alcohol. Will someone realize what has happened before it is too late?
Sienna gives her mother grief over her insistence that they keep quiet over Dodger and Texas' kiss, unaware that Will already knows the truth as Texas was wearing her broach when Sienna confronted her over her infidelity! Will decides to play a clever game by asking Dodger to be his best man due to his faithfulness towards his brother. Dodger is delighted and agrees, but Will is already plotting. Back at the Dog, Clare is still smarting from the unwelcome reception that she got at the McQueens household but she knows that she needs to keep them on side so she believes Jacqui and Theresa's claims and agrees to send the alcohol back. However, things aren't that simple and when they contact the supplier to return the alcohol, they refuse saying that it's against policy. Clare tells them that if they don't agree to take it back, she will ensure that nobody uses them again, and it seems like Trudy is forced to comply when a supply man comes to pick up the order. However, he checks the order and notices that one is missing. A panicked Theresa and Jacqui are forced to tell Darren and Jack why they are so intent on them not using the alcohol and the four try to find the vodka. Clare manages to pull a few strings and they agree to accept the order, as the missing bottle was used to deem that the product was not of the required quality for sale within the pub. Meanwhile, Esther and Ruby return from a cinema trip organized by Frankie to try and heal the rift, when they come across a drunken Holly. As they spot the bottle of alcohol, Esther has flashbacks to January, and is comforted by Ruby. However the girls are required to think fast when Holly collapses. Could Trudy's dodgy business finally collapse around her. Jacqui believes that a group of teens may have stolen the alcohol and is shocked to see Phoebe amongst the group. Marching her home, Jacqui tells Phoebe off but the teen suggests that she's surprised Jacqui recognizes her. As Phoebe's words hit home, Jacqui realizes that her parenting skills have been poor this week through her pre-occupation with Trudy. Meanwhile, a startled Theresa receives a phonecall from an anonymous caller before feeling a hand on her shoulder...she wakes up in a small room with a menacing Trudy standing over her, what will the consequences of her and Jacqui's actions be? We chat to new Hollyoaks producer Kevin O'Hara!
Quote:
Since taking over the reigns of C4 soap Hollyoaks at the beginning of the year, Kevin O'Hara has oversaw a number of big developments in the show including the exits of long-standing characters Brendan and Cheryl Brady, and the upcoming exit of Jacqui McQueen. He has also devised the return of Clare Devine and will soon introduce a new family in the shape of the Roscoes, headed up by Gillian Taylforth. Although things are busy at the minute in Lime Pictures, Kevin recently took time out to answer some questions. More Character teasers will be posted tomorrow.
DS: Hi Kevin, you only began your role as series producer at the start of the year but already 13 characters have left the show with Jacqui, Theresa and The Savage family all set to exit before June, how are you going to ensure that fans don't lose connection with the show with such a large number of exits? KOH: Well obviously it's important that fans don't see the large number of cast exits as a reason to switch off so we've tried to space them out. Obviously losing characters like Mitzeee, Brendan and Cheryl is a loss to the show but we're combatting that with a number of new characters being introduced such as the Roscoe family. DS: Yes, on the subject of the Roscoe family, what can we expect from them? KOH: Well they're six very different characters, we have mum Sandy [played by Gillian Taylforth] who has raised her five boys on her own since her husband's death when the youngest Robbie was a toddler. Then you have the two eldest, Johnny and Jamesy who are vying for the role of man of the house, Matthew who wants to be seen beyond his autism, Gregory who has a big secret and troublesome Robbie. They're a really exciting bunch and as well as having lots of family strife to work through, we will see them interacting with other characters too, such as Gregory who will be part of the HCC crowd. DS: Speaking of the HCC freshers, all but two of the new students introduced in 2011 have left, how will you ensure that Ash and Barney don't become spare parts? KOH: Ash has got some big stuff coming up with the Kane family and Barney is going to be fighting for Carmel but they will come together in September when the new students arrive for a big storyline which will shock a lot of viewers! DS: We saw Clare's on-off boyfriend Hayes arrive this week, is he a permanent character? KOH: Robert [Toretto who plays Hayes] has been handed a six week contract but if he is well received, we will certainly look at a more permanent role for Hayes, he's definitely going to shock viewers though, I don't think we've had a character as morally twisted as Hayes in quite a while! DS: The re-introduction of Clare has led to The Dog having a new owner. With the departure of Brendan and Cheryl, Chez Chez is now without an owner also, and Tony is rumoured to be keen to re-open Il Gnosh, what will 2013 be like in terms of Hollyoaks sets? KOH: Chez Chez is going to find a new owner shortly *laughs*, we'll see loads more of that in a few weeks. The Dog has long been at the heart of the show and Clare won't be overseeing in major overhauls to it for now. Yes, Tony is going to consider revamping Attwell's into a restaurant but all I can say is what Tony wants and what Tony gets aren't always the same thing, his ambitions are going to involve a character, I can't say who yet but watch this space as it's not necessarily anyone who is currently in the village. DS: Exciting! With the Roscoe family replacing the Savages as such, Finn taking one of the two spare bedrooms in the O'Connor household and Myra set to lose three family members this year, how will the living arrangements change within the show? KOH: Haha funny some of the writers joke that Hollyoaks will become like 'Through The Keyhole' soon as lots of the characters will be switching houses. The Roscoe family are going to be moving into one of the houses that is currently occupied, I won't say who but it will lead to a bit of friction. Myra will be taking in two new lodgers when Jacqui and Theresa have both left. Claire is going to be moving out of her flat and in with Mercedes and Browning and you know what they say, three's a crowd! DS: With Mercedes and Browning both set to leave this year, will the issue surrounding Lynsey's murder be re-addressed? KOH: Well everyone likes to see a villain getting their just desserts don't they? Browning and Mercy will have a turbulent few months leading up to their exit and they're going to go out in a blaze of glory, how Clare fits into that I can't reveal but all of their history is going to be re-explored. DS: With the upcoming return of Russ Owen, would you consider bringing any other former characters back into the show? KOH: Never say never! Russ is back for a few episodes but there are a few familiar faces returning soon such as Finn, Dylan and Lacey and there may be more to follow, you never know. DS:Esther Bloom's bullying storyline has been a hot topic amongst Hollyoaks fans this year, will we see Sinead's role in the bullying be re-explored? KOH: Yes, most definitely! Esther's suicide attempt was a fantastic storyline but that is far from the end to Esther's story, we've seen Ruby showing remorse for her actions but there's going to be a long road for her and Esther before Esther will trust her again. Dylan's re-introduction in June will throw a spanner in the works also as he knows something which may create tension between Esther and some of the other teens again. Sinead has so far shown no remorse for her actions and she will most definitely be made to pay for her actions. DS: It seems strange that Anna Savage has been introduced with the recent news that the Savage family will all be leaving, will she stick around after they have left? KOH: Yes, [actress] Saskia Wickham is in it for the long run! Although Will, Dirk, Dodger, Dennis and Liberty are all leaving, the two Blakes won't be going and we're going to see Anna's mental health issues being re-explored, there are so many underlying problems with her and Patrick. DS: So is Patrick a baddie then? KOH: I hate classifying someone as either a baddie or a goodie, it feels too black and white for me. Nothing is ever black and white, Patrick certainly has a dark side but he has the right intentions at heart, or so it seems. DS: Will we see any new sets in 2013? KOH: Well, the Attwell's set will be replaced, we're also going to see a new location outside of Hollyoaks village itself in the newspaper office. Nancy is going to get a full-time post here and Sandy will also work for the paper. It's certainly going to be a lot more than a place for Nancy to have over the watercooler discussions about Oscar with fellow mothers! DS: Texas was reported to be killed off a while back, but it has since been announced that at least one death will occur on the day of the Savage wedding but it's unconfirmed who yet, was there a change of heart? KOH: You can't always trust what you hear being reported, it was never confirmed whether Texas would die or not and it's still not confirmed. Bianca [Hendrickse-Spendlove] is leaving us but I can't reveal who will die on the day of her wedding to Will. The family will start double-crossing each other soon and that is always going to lead to fireworks, in this case however, sparks quite literally fly. DS: With Finn O'Connor returning with a new head, what are the chances of a Rob return? KOH: For the moment, we have no plans to bring Rob back but we will see plenty of O'Connor drama soon. Finn's return is certainly unexpected and we soon see that there is an explanation for his out of the blue return. DS: Thanks for taking time out of your day to speak to us Kevin! |

Soap Scoop: More from Hollyoaks' producer Kevin O'Hara
I recently caught up with Kevin O'Hara, producer of Hollyoaks who had plenty of exciting goss surrounding the show to reveal. You can check out the main interview in the previous article but check below for some extra spoilers about the show's characters and upcoming storylines:
The McQueens The McQueens are going to be depleted in numbers in the coming months with the departures of Theresa, Jacqui and Mercedes but true to form, things won't be quiet for long. Two residents will be moving in with the family which will cause all sorts of trouble. Myra will also have her mother, the beloved Nana McQueen who will bring her own troubles. Nancy and Darren Nancy and Darren have come through a lot in the past year but they're going to have even more to contend with this year, Nancy's addiction to painkillers will definitely make things difficult for both of them but Nancy is going to be forced to contend with another big problem much later in the year which will once again put her relationship with Darren on the line. The Osborne Family With Clare taking over the pub, the Osbornes are forced to take onboard all of the blonde businesswoman's rules, Tom in particular holds resentment towards Clare and for good reason but she seems to hold particular fondness for Esther which makes Jack and Frankie wonder if she has changed. Esther and Ruby will also be undergoing a lot of stress as Esther appears to crack under the pressure of exams and Ruby tries to be there for her, however there are still underlying trust issues, can Ruby make amends? The Roscoe Family This family will really shake things up. Robbie will be making his first appearance in a few weeks time at the sixth form information day, and the family will then move into the village towards the end of May, having previously lived in another part of Chester. Sandy's overprotectiveness of Matthew is in itself causing her to ignore one of her other children who is screaming out for help and there will be a number of hurdles for the family to overcome. Jamesy, in particular is going to shake things up when he arrives, in style. He has all the makings of a classic Hollyoaks character, he's ineffably cool, extremely witty but he has a number of flaws, which only Jonathan seems to be aware of. Tony He's pretty head over heels for Jacqui at the minute but as much as they're made for each other, she's not ready to enter into a relationship with him. He does find love, but with someone else and we're going to see him balancing this with his business ventures, there's a character coming up, I can't reveal who yet but they're going to play a big role in Tony's life this year. The Savages There's so much to come for this family before they leave. Texas and Dodger's kiss turns into something more, but Will is totally aware of what is going on. We know how twisted Will is so how he deals with this is key to the exit of the family. Dirk is smitten with Anna but we've already seen that she has a number of underlying issues and Patrick isn't going to make things easy for the family. Through all of the stress, Liberty is going to be largely ignored by the rest of her family but she's still a little girl lost and if she doesn't form a connection with Anna, the question is what is there left for her in the village. Theresa is going to be caught in the crossfire of everything and her exit will be linked to the Savage drama. Keep May 8th in your diary as it's going to be a day that changes everyone in the extended Savage family's life forever. Ste Ste is off-screen staying with Amy and the kids at the moment but when he returns, there's a lot for him to confront. He still has a lot of ghosts to confront and he's totally distraught when Brendan signs the club over to him through his lawyer. He immediately puts it up for sale but even the reminder of what is there pains him, he definitely begins to re-asses his place in the village but as George tries to stretch out the hand of friendship, his feelings are very different to Ste's. Also: [LIST][*]Lacey Kane and Dylan are returning - Dylan still has some footage which he needs to share with the other teens but it's hard to know how the others will react.[*]Mercedes, Browning and Clare arrange a very unusual set-up but they do say three's a crowd and there are going to be consequences, where Hayes fits into this is unclear but his violent and unpredictable nature causes all sorts of problems for Clare and she considers what to do with him, trying to rope Browning into her plans[*]The Freshers will be debuting on screen later in the year, a few of the sixth forms will be moving onto HCC and there will be a few familiar faces but their first week changes things completely, Ash and Barney will be left to pick up the pieces after one fateful night![*]Tilly will find herself struggling to find her identity after Dylan's revelation, but she finds an unlikely ally in Martha[/LIST] |

Monday 15th April
Trudy tells Theresa that she's going to pay for Jacqui's mistake, telling the terrified young woman that being 'Innocent Blondie' who bats her eyelashes makes her vulnerable to people who are smarter and more wicked, just like she fell foul of Jacqui when she was in prison. It's clear that a deranged Trudy still holds a grudge against her.
Meanwhile, Jacqui tries to get through to Phoebe, telling her that she always has her best intentions at heart but the teen feels increasingly isolated in the McQueen household telling Jacqui that she cares more about everyone else in the family than she does about her. Jacqui says that it's not true but Phoebe then asks her who the little boy is in the photo she keeps in her purse.
