IE on Xbox safe?

For general browsing i'm fine with using the IE, however the other day I wanted to do my online banking, would there be greater risk doing this on the Xbox? I'm thinking there is no antivirus or firewall to speak of, however, its through Xbox live? So maybe that's secure enough?

Anyone know how secure browsing via IE really is?

Not sure but then again I don't have a keyboard so don't use it much and find it a bit clumsy.

It doesn't need anti virus since the console is a closed system, you can't run unsigned code - in this case the virus - on an unmodded machine. The only security risk would be if you went to a fake banking site and entered your info.

Pretty safe then? Thanks for that info.

The way my console is setup, Xbox, keyboard, monitor, it makes a decent alternative to using the laptop.

Just a shame it can't use IE in-game. lol

It is probably more safe than your PC/mobile. browser.

nothing is 100% safe as long as it's connected to the net.
