He does very well as a complete psycho in Game Of Thrones

As have the standards of grammar and punctuation on DS, but do you see complaints about that?

On the programme itself, I think it's a lot funnier than any other 'comedy' on TV at the moment (apart from the blackadder repeats, of course). The scripts are fairly routine, and most of the jokes predictable, but it's the quality of the four main performers - the oldies - which make it enjoyable.

Loved tonight Stuart and Freddie were both hilarious tonight

Missed it tonight, was Ash still wooden, dull, boring and poorly acted?

His annoying girlfriend came for dinner, and Ash was still wooden and boring. I don't get it because Iwan was brilliant in Misfits and others have said he's good in GoT, maybe he only suits these types of roles and not the Ash type roles.
It was a good ep, Freddie, Stuart and Violet were great

WRONG ! WRONG ! WRONG !

Freddie and Stuart were flippin' OUTSTANDING last night

I've only watched the first 15 minutes so far of last night's show but just loved the way they tossed those barbed insults at each other. This comedy is a classic and keeps getting better

Might it be that Ash (the character) is supposed to be "wooden", "dull" and "boring"?

Best yet, hilarious, I laughed all the way through it, perhaps it is a slow burner and is building up to its best.

It's one joke rehashed over and over again.

A very unfunny rehashed joke.

I could not agree more, but obviously there are some who are finding it hilarious. I guess that it is like Miranda, I LOVE it, but I know that there are many who hate it.

I thought it was very funny last night. Lot's of lol moments. Especially the scenes at the dinner table. And quite touching also at the end. It has certainly improved on the first episode.

I've only seen a few mins here and there of this and last night was really the first time I sat and watched an episode. I thought it was very funny. Does the "mummy" call at the beginning every week? Is that a running gag?

"Perhaps that's because I'm not a waiter!". "Oh, aren't you? You WERE when I met you!".

Yes, each episode opens with Stuart on the phone to his "mummy".

Me and my other half sit in bed with a cup of tea watching each episode and just roar with laughter from start to finish. Some of its a bit close to home but I think that's what makes in even funnier for us.

Last night's episode was hilarious. I do find Ash a little wooden and I think they could have done more to build his friendship with Freddie and Stuart (to explain why he's always popping in).

Although the fact Ash is slowly being revealed as more insane than anyone else in the show probably explains that!

Its getting round about 3m viewers per episode and they've already got a Christmas special in the bag. I hope there's a second season. Its so funny.

Not enough Frances de la Tour last night. I do like the show and I know it's the same with all sitcoms but I do wish the writers could vary it a bit. If less talented actors had to say the lines I think we'd have a turkey of David Jason proportions on our hands.

Sadly, I don't think there will be. Any other show which more than halves its audience over a few weeks wouldn't be renewed. I am beginning to like it as well but that's what's realistic.

Continuing to enjoy the series, but it does seem odd that Ash keeps popping into see Stuart and Freddie.

I think series 2 would be really good - the writers will be able to reflect on what worked / didn't work in series 1 and write accordingly. It's not often that you get three magnificent performers together at the same time. Could be a classic if properly nurtured. First series of shows often fail to deliver but this one seems to have developed quite a buzz (admirers and haters in equal proportions - marmite tv lol)

Err, why would anyone write a character like that in a Sitcom??

Yup, I'm loving Vicious, but can't stand Miranda Hart in anything she's been in.
