To be honest, Vicious wasn't my cup of tea at all (If I listed other shows I can't stand, I'd definitely be filed under "comedy snob").

But I'm glad ITV are giving it another series.

I don't think it was altogether a ratings disaster and it sends a good signal that ITV are prepared to give a show time to develop.

Glad it's back, just needs more gags and less insulting each other.

Not sure I agree with them - I'm 42 and I loved it.

Put it back on ITV paired with Vicious and I'm sure it'll find its audience.”

I'm 40 and didn't think The Job Lot was that good. I didn't realise the thinking was that it was for a younger audience but it makes sense.

Very happy to see Vicious back. I think we'll see an improvement now they've got a second chance. I loved it but there are elements that need tightening.

I slated it from the first episode to the last, but stuck with it as I thought it COULD be good with a few nips & tucks. Also I think it took a bit of getting used to, I found the two leads OTT, especially DJ doing his John Inman impression, but actually find myself looking forward to it - but then there is so little on TV ATM to interest me.

I wonder where they could go with the next series with the storyline.

They need to get the writing together, develop the characters a bit better.

Met Derek Jacobi last night, and he was full of enthusiasm for Vicious series 2. Hooray!

Any one else looking forward to the christmas special tomorrow?

Having just watched series 1 on dvd, I like the show more now than when it was first broadcast on ITV1 a few months ago, when I had mixed views on it.

Really glad ITV have put some faith in it with the go ahead for series 2!

I really really wanted to love it, and I did enjoy bits of it, but it wasn't as wonderful as it could have been. However i'm thinking that series 2 will give it room to breathe and develop and be a little less broad at times. It has a wonderful cast that aren't given the best material to work with, bit too hammy, but I want it to be wonderful!

The best comedy of the last few years, The Old Guys, never found its audience and it was AWESOME. People just don't buy into elderly actors doing comedy for some reason, unless it's kitsch or broad. One Foot In The Grave is one of my most favourite things ever and friends would always sneer at me for loving it. It's CLEVER! Ach. People.

I was a bit when I first watched it, but stuck with it. It was perhaps just me having to adjust to the OTT acting, so I will be watching to see how much adjusting I have done

I LOVED The Old Guys, would really like to see a repeat if not a new series.

Never got into One Foot In The Grave, but then we can't watch everything. I have only quite recently got into watching Father Ted, and wonder how it managed to pass me by, as I love it!

Yes, I think you're right, it's a traditional sitcom set up in a studio, which I don't tend to watch that much, but I love Rising Damp so I can get with the vibe I think. I am hoping series 2 is a bit more daring. They're all incredible actors, it 'should' be wonderful!

AND YES! Another fan! It's incredibly undervalued that show. I know that it has been axed as it never found its audience. The guy that wrote it with the boys with Peep Show is a GREAT writer, and it was sharp, funny and slightly odd, and I think people just didn't quite get it. A big shame.

You should give One Foot a go from the beginning. I promise, it's amazing. And Father Ted, i'm jealous, I'd love to watch that again for the first time

I liked it but I wouldn't say it was great comedy, far from it. It works though because the actors are clearly having a ball making it a fun watch, and in a time where comedy is sparse that's all I'm looking for really.

Looking forward to tonight's special, I'll be watching at 10 because it clashes with Death Comes to Pemberley.

I'll be giving this a go tonight. I enjoyed the series itself although it could have been better given the concept it had, and I'm glad that ITV gave it another series.
