..Ding Dong fell to 65 from 2 this week, surely this must be some sort of chart record.

If it HAD made no.1 that would have certainly set a record for the biggest fall from the top, I think it was a fall to no.20 by McFly in 2007 and that also happened with an Elvis re-release in 2005, Ding Dong would have dropped straight out the Top 40!

I was wondering this? I wondered if it would still sell last week as it was the funeral halfway through the week. Checked the chart on sunday and there was no sign of it. So it fell to number 65. As the OP says this must be some sort of chart record. Could be the only single to enter at number two and then drop out of the top 40. Must be the biggest drop from number two ever.
