Can't really think of a superlative example right now, but I would say that Madonna's American Life video is a rare example of where the vid enhances appreciation of the song (at least for me). That would be, of course, if she hadn't gone all prissy and bowed down to pressure to cancel the proper video following moaning about insensitivity to 'our troops'

a great video really does help elevate a good song into something magnificent......actually, it doesn't necessarily have to be a particularly good video, just a captivating video. The last one I could think of was Gotye's STIUTK.
