TPTB are doing the twitter thing again to decide for King Prom King and Queen Prom Queen and Im afraid that this will backfire on Zen overtime (because some people will say that there are sick and tired of seeing her win all the times, plus they add an extra 2 points for whoever wins, urghhh... ). Im sure they are using this twitter idea for the ratings but I dont like how it might backfire on Zen in the long run. She is so much popular than all the previous Disney Kids combined together so she doesnt need this (because Im sure people will say that they are doing this to help her with the votes which imo isnt true because many people are voting for her out there )

Im sure she will win prom queen tuesday, her fans the Zswagers will make sure of that but I can already see people complaining about that. They really need to drop this twitter idea and let the judges decide an encore otherwise we will have to watch encores of her and Val all season long and I dont think its fair on the other contestants as much as love them (Valdaya ).

I think they should win the two extra points this week but i agree winning the encore every week will backfire. Anyone worried that with DWTS focusing so much on trending that they wont vote as much and popular couples being in trouble.

Its not skewed fridge not at all. Im on twitter most of the times when Im on the Internet and you can actually see the results for yourself . When Tom announced on Tuesday that Zen and Val won the encore, Zen already knew it (she even screenshoted the trend and posted it on her Instagram ).

She trended 3 times (thats a huge deal ) worldwide that night, 3 times so its not skewed; Her jive was the talk of the Twitterverse that night . I really agree with you on the fact that they need to drop this idea because I see some fanbases already complaining that she will always win (which is true given her internet fanbase ) and I really want her to do well so I dont likethe fact that the TPTB motives whatever they are may hinder her chances at actually winning or if not finishing top 2 in this competition.
Since next week is emotional for her given the dance dedicated for her grandma , I think people will cut her some slack on that but I really hope TPTB drop this idea otherwise she will always win .
They need to get back to the judges deciding the encore or whatever new contest they create nowadays : King and Prom Queen , how cheesy

I have to agree with this. There is something about him that I cannot warm to and to have Lisa V as his partner has not helped I was not keen on him on our DWTS either. He was the first elimination that season, so our "loss" is USA's gain

Hi edy, he did one season in Oz last year (we only have 1 series per year) He was first out with Erin McNaught, Miss Australia 2006. I would say lack of votes was the reason and of course being a new pro would not have helped. I have a feeling it will be "deja vu" for him again, although I am hoping DL is out next week

But that's exactly my point. It's biasing things to the people with a big twitter following - which naturally skews the outcome to a particular demographic.

I'm more bothered that less popular contestants are not getting a fair crack of the whip, and learning to dance is being sidelined as the main focus of the show.

I agree though, that it will eventually backfire on Zendaya. When the producers persistently over hype a contestant a large section of the viewers (me included) take an 'anyone but...' perspective. The sad thing is, she doesn't need all this 'help', she's good enough to do it via the traditional method of, er, you know ... dancing (perish the thought! ).

How are you supposed to rate the contestants' ability, if after 3 weeks they've not even shown their hand in the ballroom? And how are they supposed to build on the (non-existent) foundations of what they've learnt in the early weeks as they move forward? If the producers really believe ballroom is a turn-off for the viewers (which is how it seems), then why are they handicapping some of them (Aly, for example, will have had ballroom twice)?

I agree I dont think they are doing this to " help " her but mostly for seflish reasons like do well on social networks like The Voice and American Idol are doing here. Usually when Dwts is on, I never really see it trend on twitter so last monday was actually the first time it happened.The problem with that is that it may backfire on Zen . Fortunately its still the beginning of the competition so Im really hoping that they get rid of the idea later in the serie because if they keep doing it she will always win and will probably not win the competition or finish last 2 because of the huge backlash .

I really dont like what this show is doing this season . First was the introduction of contemporary and jazz and now we have this problem that some couples havent done ballroom yet because she is not the only one. Well I think she can do all type of dances but I just dont think thats its " fair " for everyone. Even Kellie hasnt done any type of ballroom yet.

Like I said, TPTB are not doing this to help Zen or whoever but mostly because they want to compete with other big TV shows here on a social platform.The problem with that , is the fact that it will surely backfire towards her when she didnt even need that because Im sure she will make the final . I just dont want them to " prop " her like they did with Chelsea Kane (the other Disney Star ) in season 12 because it will backfire big time ! Well its still week 3 so lets hope they dish that terrible idea.
