Could be demoralising for those in the lower rankings, bit unfair. I thought the idea for eliminations was for the element of surprise, knowing the most popular celebs, erodes this surely? Not keen on crowning the most popular, bit too much like school, but then it is with prom night
Ballroom dancing appears to be taking a back seat more and more. I'm interested to know how well celebs that have started the show with contomporary dances will then fare with the ballroom numbers, surely the first few weeks of training are for learning the basics of ballroom?

And remember how last week all these 3 couples were together under the red light to hear their fate (whether they were safe or not ) and of course all 3 of them were safe, I dont think it was coincidental at all

I actually think that people who have done contemporary at week 1 were really at a disadvantage and lucky for them that their dances turned out to be really good. Disadvantage because its a dance like rumba where you have to be able to really connect with your partner and emote the dance , morever the lifts....so thats not really easy so yes I want to see my favourites do ballroom already .
This pro-Derek website (its a really good website ) shame that they can ban you if you do so much as criticize Derek are already bashing Zen and Jakoby .

Still that's the way of things unfortunately. Mark's looking forward to it as he was over here and never participated in prom. Over the last few years it seems to have been imported to our country. I hear some people spend crazy amounts on their children's Prom.

I can already imagine it being over-the-top cheesy since its Mark we are talking about .The amount that most people spend here for prom dresses and parties is obscene though imo .

They do seem to have accurate information usually. Don't visit the site as much as I did a few years ago. On occasion they are useful though, never ventured on there to air my views.

I still think Victor could have done well with another pro. The show is so desperate to get another Julianne but I haven't been completed sold on her work yet ! Plus her personality is a bit bland imo

No I wasnt banned
, I just stopped posting over there even though I visit it regularly. They really have good informations on the show but I just hate that no one can really state his opinions about Derek or one of his partners before they threaten to ban you . Just read these messages as soon as someone say oh they didnt really like Kellie's dance last week or think she is an average dancer, or that she has some kind of dance experience, they jump on your back and attack you for criticizing their precious Derek : he cant do no wrong in their eyes and I hate this kind of blind fanatism. I actually Like Derek, but I just dont like the way some people put him on a piedestal and think he cant do no wrong, end of rant

Yeah, Lindsay doesn't really have much going for her, she's all looks and little else. She danced Contempary on SYTYCD, and it wasn't too bad, it's just a case as to whether she can teach Victor it. I'm a big Victor fan so I hope she can!

I don't know I don't think he is as good a dancer as I would have hoped. I quite like the pairing, but her choreography is untested at this point. She did a good routine for Vic's jive and tried to disguise how awful he was at the flicks and kicks, so don't think it is all one sided and her fault. Would he have fared better with another pro not sure, maybe, maybe not. Think she is a little bit bland too but perhaps showing her best side to start with it's untested waters for her. Was suprised at her jibes at Victor after his wobbler with her, in an interview she was putting him his place, don't think she is as saccharine sweet as we think but don't know if she is the sympathetic type either.
Kym seems to have gone off the boil this year too, underwhelmed with her choreography so far. Sharna is shining through she is a good find. Gleb's a good dancer but his choreo so far failed to ignite. He seems to have been bought in for a bit of eye candy, doesn't do anything for me though

Sorry for thinking you were banned lol. I like Derek too believe it or not, but that doesn't mean I can't comment on routines or favouritism etc
Thanks sweetmiss, guess who has his chesticles almost out. Although heard Kat asking Gleb to flash the flesh as she was taking photos the other day so think he plays up to it and it's the money shot for her, wonder if the celebs and pros get a cut from her photos?.
