I seem to be totally out of sync with everyone.

I didn't like Zen & Val's VW. It was too much arm waving & not enough in hold. I think she needs a taller partner personally.

I love Derek. He always brings the best out of his partners & his choreography is always excellent.
But that's because he is constantly favoured with the female celebs who will have obvious dance ability.

The only time its looked like the producers have given him a celeb who "could" be bad was Ricki Lake and she turned out to be another good dancer.

Why not give Derek celebs like Tony has gotten. Eg Kate Gosselin, Wendi Williams or Wynonna Judd. See Derek sweat then

With all the fans talking about Zendaya Vs Kellie I can see someone like Jacoby winning the series
He's been my bet to win from day 1, and that sticks.

He's got the NFL fanbase, and off a recent Superbowl win. I think he'll win, with Zendaya in 2nd and Kellie in 3rd.

Wynonna is certain to go tonight. Her Samba was total car crash.

Lisa seems to be enjoying it more and having a laugh which I respect. She is not like Andy who is emotionally blackmailing the audience each week with the VT's. Once is enough but this is the 3rd time he has got the tears out I think

I did feel sorry for DL. So I cannot wait to see the judges faces when he survives this week (Sure he will)

BIB Phew! Good to know there's a real human heart in there!! (Just joking and I think you're right, the voters will feel sorry for him after the mauling he got).

Agree about Lisa and sort of agree about Andy.

Not wishing to sound horribly PC about it, but I've known people in the early stages of recovery from alcohol/addiction problems and they live, eat and breathe their 'journey' - I don't think they have any choice - and you can only try and be supportive. (Sharna is perfect for him - makes him work hard, but lots of empathy). They can be a crashing bore to be around, mind, until they get a bit better.

All of that said, though, I do agree he needs to try and keep a lid on the excess of emotion - even if it's just pretending for the VTs , or the audience will lose sympathy, he'll feel rejected and...Oh, God! - it doesn't bear thinking about . Trouble is, the show positively milks this kind of thing .

Agree I was like when Brooke said he was a recovering addict on the 1st live show I thought it was slightly insensitive.

Yes. Brooke. Ahem .

Even if he wanted to spin a different story for himself, they're not going to let him....

I think he would be fine with a less talented celeb.

He seems to be able to connect with people really easily & adapt his teaching style to suit.

I get this weird feeling that Derek never getting a weak celebrity is some sort of cover up for him not being as good as people think he is - after all, he's not shown himself as a proper 'teacher' as all of his celebrities seem to pick it up pretty quickly, as they're either quite young or have had some experience. Kinda like how boxers back out of fights because they don't want to be defeated.

Next season if he is still on I hope Betty White signs up and he gets her as his partner.

I somehow think she would still be getting scores of above 15 for the samba etc.

I think Derek is a good teacher and covers his partners' flaws brilliantly. He makes the average look good, the good look great and the great look superb. Perhaps he can make a poor or excruciatingly terrible dancer halfway decent.

Unfortunately.....

I don't think we will ever find out.

I don't know why.

Like how Jerry Springer got 24 for his Samba, when he did VIRTUALLY. NO. DANCING.

Everyone keeps mentioning how Lisa , Wyonna and Dl are most likely to go but it could be Ingo totally forgettable sadly.
very good point. Tbh I wont be surprised if Ingo is in the bottom 2. He is just there .... so forgettable same with Aly but she has the fanbase .And last night was General Hospital 50th anniversary where Ingo Played Jack for almost 20 years (soap opera like Hollyloaks or Eastenders ) . Most of his co-stars were in the audience so Im sure a lot of people will vote for him .

I even think 15 was high , I literally watched it through my fingers, it was so bad .
You can tell that she doesnt feel comfortable or is very self conscious when she dances. She is a feisty woman behind the scenes or interviews but turn so timid on the dancefloor . She is a singer and performs in front of thousand people for god-sake ; some people consider her a legend in country music but she cannot perform I dont get it.
Kirstie Alley who was " well-endowed " like her could move and was not afraid to shake it up on that dancefloor so yeah I dont understand.

Unfortunately I think you are right . My favourites rarely wins (they always finish second smh ) , poor Val finishing second this time .
I still have hope for Zen . She has a very strong fanbase and knows a lot of powerful/influential people who campaign for her everytime.
Imagine if during the final Justin Bieber tweets his fans to vote for her ? Then its over she will win, NfL fanbase or not.

Lisa (on Strictly), whilst not my favourite by a long, long way, must be twice Wynonna's size (and, okay, a bit younger), but she was very light on her feet and really gave it some welly. I don't know anything about Wynonna, so I can't say if this 'frozen' thing is out of character or not, but it's a million miles from dancing .

I saw someone suggest (elsewhere) that out of self-consciousness about her body she may have over-spanxed herself and can't actually move! I don't think they were being cruel. They could be onto something .

I totally agree with everything you said. Maria was average, Ricki average but yet the way some of the judges described some of their dances you would have thought they were the best celebs to ever had competed the show . And its only credit to Derek's choreo and the Judges biais towards him. He is so good at hiding his partners flaws, he knows what works and doesnt. what to say for the cameras , ..he is a genius at this show .
I watched and supported him and Nicole diligently so I know what Im talking about. He knows when to peak ...when to break rules....Im not being cynical but he really knows how this show works and that is one of the reasons why he is so successful .

Last night Kellie wasnt sharp in her movements , and the second slipt that she did during that routine was an epic fail bc she didnt landed correctly but of course no one pointed the mistakes. Thats why Derek had to go over the top and overdanced to hide her flaws...Okay Im done with this topic lol

BIB yeah I saw that comment too but imo she doesnt feel comfortable and is very self-conscious on the dancefloor maybe because she thinks she is making a fool of herself I dont know .
Very good point about Lisa. I loved Lisa and Bobby even though they grated my nerves towards the end lol. Lisa was a joy on that dancefloor and really enjoyed herself but you dont see that with Wy.

I love to see people enjoying themselves out there. One of the reasons why even though Sean , Victor or Andy are not the best out there , they really smile and try to have fun ; I appreciate that

Found it funny with the earlier posts about how classy Kellie's prom dress was.

I remember back in 2006 when she in american Idol playing up the naive farm girl routine with Ryan Seacrest:

"What's salmon?"

there was a website called vote for the worst that dragged up all this information about her in real life.

one of which was her actual prom dress.

yeah only 4 hours wow. I knew she was limited of the time that they could rehearse because she is a minor but I didnt know that it was only 4 hours .
Some people trains for 8-10 hours per day (I remember Nicole She was pratically sleeping in the studio ) .
When they get down to 2 dances it might hurt her. How come some people dont talk about that ? No everyone want to talk how she is a ringer .
This gives me a new found admiration for her because her routines are extremely complex. Of course the fact that she learns choreo quicky because of her show is an advantage but still she does a good job at coping with Val's choreography .

Yeah she tries to play the dumb blond girl act on the show like she did when she was on American Idol. Her and Derek are a match made in heaven because they know how to manipulate people/the audience .
