With the team dances, I dont remember how the points are allocated , anyone

What I do know is that the team who gets the most tweets or trending topic gets en encore tomorrow.
I also agree with you about Victor leaving.

I want Z to get at least a 9 from Len with her chacha so she gets a 27 but that seems rather unlikely lol.

I also think that Val has really come into his own this season especially with his choreography & i am hoping that the fact that he is getting so many positive comments about it means he will keep or raise this standard on any future series he is on. I also wonder if as Maks not a regular that he is being seen by lot more people as Val not merely Maks brother & this may also have given him confidence but probably main reason for this is fact that he is paired with Zendaya so he had to go for different style, less sexy/sultry themes & its definitely worked.
After listening to OTRC interview last week when Maks talked about how Val prepares choreography i really think he will prove to be one best pro's on the show.

Like last week i really wanted Zen/Val to get encore but recognised in long run it was best she didnt i think the order may play into her favour this week & possibly shut up a certain fanbase who think she is being favoured, i mean dancing 1st can never be seen as favouring a couple.

From what i can remember team dances are just scored out of 30 as with all other dances, it definitely was that way with All Stars.

I understand that but how do they add up to the score from the 1st dance Who gets a 3, 4 or 5 ?
In the past , team dances usually helped some couple with points and I assume that tonight it will be no different because it will really shape the leaderboard.

Okay but if Kellie gets a 29, Z a 27 and Allie a 20 for their 1st dances. But for the team dances, team paoi win and score lets say 26 so how are they going to allocate the total points from the night ?
I watch the show for a long time and many team dances of course but at the moment , I cant seem to remember how it all works lol.

They just add score from Team dance to each member of that teams individual dance so if Zen/Val get 26 for their ChaCha & Team Paso is scored 28 then their score for night will be 54 & if Kellie/Derek get 28 for Quickstep & Team Samba gets 26 then they would score same 54 as Zen/Val so could be very interesting leaderboard.

Bruno needs to reign it in when he talks about Z. I know he can get excited but still she is 16 and sometimes its easy to forget that.

Urghhh team dances were such a mess, awful

I love Z but team Samba deserves the encore because they were much better. The saving grace in team Paso was Zen and Jacoby. Victor and Ingo were awful especially victor.

If team Paso wins it it will be due to Z and Jacoby fanbase thats it. But Team Samba were slightly better and Derek has his record intact.

It will be very interesting to see who wins the encore tomorrow. I expect Derek and Kellie fans fuming if Team Paso wins.

Its not good to have team dances at this stage of the competition where there are so many weak dancers left, urghhhh !!!

On a second viewing, while I think Team Samba was entertaining, they were definetely overmarked . That dance didnt deserve a 9 at all but a 8 at best. Its infuriating to see how the judges fawn over Derek

Lord I'm scared to watch Team Paso's dance.

It wasnt that bad sm . Both team were awful but Team samba was more entertaining and of course had the Golden Boys Derek and Mark.

Z fans have already trended team paso ; its trending right now despite having the lowest score , As Z would say OH YEAH

Poor Val had the bad edit of the week. Last week it was Derek. Who is it going to be next week ? Mark ? Karina ? So much hate/criticism from that 30s clip that he even replied to it.

Personally I didnt think any of it. It speaks volume about Z & V partnership imo that he yelled so hard at her (I would have been scared and tbh I flinched a bit when he did it ) and she sweetly smiled at him and tried to calm him down. I didnt think too much of it because Z didnt think too much of it and Im sure its not the 1st time he did it either but the producers just chose to show it this week .

Anyways I dont see why people are making a big deal out of it. Im sure that some pros have moments of frustration at times but TPTB chose when and who is going to recieve the bad edit of the week . Now that D.L is gone, they need someone for the bad edits

I didnt really enjoy this week as I did the other week. Stevie Wonder week was a letdown for me. Not to mention that he didn't even sing most of the songs live. I understand the reasoning behind it but that kind of defeated the purpose of tonight's show, didn't it ?

All dances were pretty bad or meh imo. Only saving grace were Z, kellie and Jacoby imo.

No way Sean deserve a higher score than Andy for that atrocity of a " samba " . At least Andy attempted some of the steps; the judges have lost the plot. And why does Len gives team samba a 9 ? He clearly have favorites.

Zendaya and Val - CCC
She looked great and made a good job of this, and I liked that there was no 'production', just the two of them dancing. The routine didn't hit the spot for me (may have been to do with the awful song). 9

Andy and Sharna - Samba
There were a couple of moments when he seemed to have some samba rhythm but those were no samba hips! 5

Sean and Peta - Samba
A lot of samba content but he looks awkward and has no musicality. There was a diagonal walk they did where he was so mincey - cringe . I can see the effort, but don't enjoy watching. (And keep the shirt on, Sean ). 6

Aly and Mark - Foxtrot
I thought she did a good job, though there was something amiss with her frame. Not as good as Kellie's last week, but then she's not able to get the same length of line. What was going on with the costumes? Mark in a street suit and hat (with spats) and Aly in evening gown - it was incongruous and the cut of the dress did her no favours. I think wardrobe are letting her down. (Her hair looked lovely up, though) 8

Kellie and Derek - QS
I liked their training VT - they're a good match, these two. Her elbow was down and her shoulders crept up again, so her frame wasn't quite perfect, but it was fast with lots of steps and she looked to have great footwork. Not struck on the hair and dress (it didn't look like Kellie) 9

Ingo and Kym - Tango
Is Kym just not as into it this season? She seems different . Loved her dress. Awful song for a tango. Ingo was okay. Can't think of anything to say about him, which says it all, really . 6

Victor and Lindsay - Rumba
Training looked painful. He's not enjoying it, so perhaps it's time to put him out of his misery. He didn't do a lot of dancing in that routine. He looked fed up throughout. What's to say about it? The daisy lighting effects were nice . 4

Jacoby and Karina - QS
No idea about his footwork as it was hidden by Karina's dress or he was completely hidden (when they were in the audience). His frame was poor. Bum sticking out. You could drive a bus between them. He has musicality and it was jolly - I expect the judges loved it . 7

Will have to watch the team dances later. ETA - just read above - maybe I won't bother

ETA - just watched the judging and amazed to see some honesty from Len about Jacoby's technique - about time .

My thoughts y'all for Week 6

Zendaya - Awful song for a cha cha and her performance was overmarked. She was trying too hard and the dance came across desperate. That said. I felt sorry for her because Val was a jerk in training screaming at her and she was well and truly stitched up with the group dances giving her Victor who cannot dance and Ingo who has no personality.

Andy - Loved his performance this week. He made me smile again but he is nearing his expiry date. However TBH I would not mind seeing him again next week so hope America saves him from the bottom of the leader board

Sean - Cringe alert at that awful samba. Reminded me of Pendle Mania.

Alexandria - She is becoming my fave this series. I like her performances each week and her dance was fabulous. Plus it helped actually having one of the best Stevie Wonder songs. I think she looked beautiful.

Ingo - Its almost like he has been eliminated already and is coming back for a reunion dance. I feel nothing about his presence in the competition. I think Kym just wants to get eliminated now and collect her pay check

Kellie - She was stunning this week and I think the makeover worked. The quickstep she performed was the best dance of the season IMO so far so well done to her. 29 was perhaps the right score because there was just a tad bit of untidiness in her dance.

Victor - He was like a broken man this week. I am sure he went wrong near the beginning. Poor Lindsay she must really be doubting if she will be back next series He needs a miracle to survive this week, a score of 18 was generous.

Jacoby - Awful Technique for a quickstep. Thank heavens for Len calling him out. Bruno and Carrie need to really speak the truth about this because the way its turning out he is going to win and be the worst winner since Donny Osmond

Team Paso - Horrific, if they get the encore because of Zendaya then its a travesty.
Team Samba - Horrific but not as bad as the Paso. Alexandra and Kellie really carried the performance and Andy was not that bad in his solo section I thought.
