OK so some good news for next week we get some Michael Buble action, always a plus to me anyway.

Am maybe a little clearer how this elimination dance off will play out but not by much. I'm assuming pairings will be random names out of hat or will it be based on scoring that night & if winning couple from each pairing get 3 extra points, does this mean 3 losing couples become automatic bottom 3 & then lowest number votes from these 3 goes home or am i just going totally crazy trying to make sense of this from official site.

OMG people actually go to these lengths to find something to have a go at Zendaya about - its getting totally ridiculous now, she's just a young girl who works hard has some talent & is trying her best to learn a new skill & entertain us, she doesnt deserve this vitriol.

I just read the press release for Latin's week and the more I hear about this immunity thing the more I dislike it .
Im hoping Z doesn't win it & come 2nd or 3rd on the leaderboard and doesn't even get a 30.
Because I can already see the backlash that is going to come her way if she wins it.......sigh......

This season is turning so negative lately and I don't like it....

I can't quite work out why though ....

Do they want to add a perception of jeopardy for the top 4, so folk vote in panic - but safe in the knowledge they will all move forward?

Are they trying to manufacture a shock exit? Who could the fall guy be, I wonder?

Are they trying to save someone who isn't polling the public vote? Be interesting if Aly is the sleb who ends up immune....

Are they trying to fix it for someone to stay a bit longer (Sean, perhaps)?

We'll have to see how they match up the face-offs to determine whether we smell a rat or not

Hope it doesn't bite them in the bum, somehow....

It just seems like a bunch of unnecessary shenanigans to me. I can see a lot of folks not happy about it next week. I have a feeling that this may backfire somehow and I wonder if by doing this they are trying to :
1-protect one of the potential "4 " finalists who isnt pulling the votes like they want or
2-get rid of a bad dancer who is extremely popular ...cough..... Andy than other bad dancers left in the competition.

*have also read Rumba, but salsa seems more likely. Kym said something with 'major hip action' and I doubt they'd have 3 rumbas out of seven dances...

I can't believe how little ballroom dancing we're seeing. Including the coming week (week 7, for crying out loud!!!) Zendaya will have danced one solitary ballroom (and the others only 2 or 3). All the extra dances (team dances, these dance offs etc) have all been latin as well.

They're really trying to screw over the bottom half of the leaderboard. Andy and Sean are both much better in hold yet it's difficult latin followed by difficult latin. Zendaya gets a Paso after practising it last week; likewise with Kellie and the Samba.

The targets are becoming obvious. They could at least try and make it look random.

yah which brings me to theory n1 : one of the top 4 isnt pulling the votes like TPTB want and they want to make sure that one of the bad dancer doesnt outlast a potential finalist.

Again I see this backfiring towards the person who will get immunity monday and that person will probably be Zendaya urghh.
Both Kellie and Aly have Latin dances and imho they dont do really well with Latin especially Aly.
I really hope that the top scorer monday is anyone but Zendaya.

This just reminds me of the winner chacha takes all challenge in season 12 where the winner had 10 points (Chelsea kane & Mark ) because she didnt have the votes. So TPTB introduced that new gimmick to get rid of Ralph and Karina.

This new gimmick is more subtle but it just reminds me of that travesty in season 12. I think that they want to get rid of Andy or they dont want him to outlast Sean ...SMH...

Henry sheds a little more light on Latin week

The celebs have to prepare 40 seconds of all three dances (cha cha, jive and rumba)
The highest ranked (after top couple who are safe) choose who they want to go head to head against.
Next ranked choose next and so on.

...and from Derek's blog (thanks for posting Karma )....We won't know until the results night which dance we'd have to do.
...so the three bonus points get added on Tuesday. Does that make it even more fix-y or less? hmmmmm...
I suppose this also means the judges have to make sure there are not two couples tied in top spot.

Also, next week there will be trio dances - presumably celeb and 2 pros

I have just realized something. The person who gets the perfect score wouldn't necessarily be on the top of the leaderboard. Because after the dance off 3 extra points are added to your original score.
Lets say Jacoby gets a 30 for his salsa and that Kellie gets a 27 for her samba. After the dance-off, if Kellie wins which Im sure she will, 3 points will be added to her original score of 27 so now she will have 30 points.

Im sorry but this whole idea of dance-off/immunity sounds fishy and dumb to me. Who exactly TPTB trying to protect and get rid off

-Salsa has a lot of lifts and If there was ever a week for Jacoby to top the leaderboard its this one . He may still be pigeon-toed but the guy can put on a great show and Im sure Karina will incorporate very good lifts in their routine.

-Val said that this Paso is going to be the best Paso he has ever danced at Dwts (someone is very confident well at least he seems happy with the routine ).

-Imo Kellie is sometimes a bit stiff in her movements so I just think she will do okay with the samba.
-Aly salsa and lifts. No wonder Mark broke his back , sorry ...sorry if it sounds mean. Im just saying...
I expect a lot of drama playing before the show, during the commercials , about " will Mark danced or not ? " and maybe Z also doing some damage to Val......Aly will probably go last .....you know we have to wait and see if Mark will really dance (even though we all know that Henry stepped in for him ).

I sound really cynical but after watching this show for a long time, you can tell how the producers are going to spin some things.

I think I have become a bit too cynical watching this show lol. But its true though, anything for drama . They will milk that " incident " for all its worth tonight
