Wow I still find it so surprising that Cheryl and Drew freestyle ranks n1. For the 200th episode, the fans voted it as their most favorite dance ever on dwts so its pretty impressive that 100 episode later it still ranks that high.


I would replace Kellie's AT with Nicole and Derek AT which imo is probably still the best female AT on this show. I would rank Z's AT a close 2nd. Surprised that it didn't make that list. If I had to put any Kellie's dance there it would be her jazz number or even her Waltz.

I disagree with Peta and Gilles Bollywoood's dance being in the top 10 but then again its HER opinion

It would be nice if Len and Bruno could do the same or even the pros ; rank their top 10 favorite dances on the show.

The confusing part is if you accidentally unhighlight the middle section and then have to find where to type your words in the mass of code and brackets (it's between the square brackets [cjaooi]HERE[afasfof] but it's easier to just delete and do it again!).

I think any of them could win. As you say - all down to the fan votes as the judges scores will all be 9s and 10s (I don't think the judges points should count at all in the final). The fan votes and the freestyle, of course. I sometimes think it's unfair when the 'best' dancer has a duff freestyle and someone less deserving snatches it at the last hurdle, but I guess it's like a cup final and adds to the excitement

Strictly used to show the results show live on Saturday after the main show (with a gap) - I wish they'd go back to that - it was exciting (and now I just look at the spoilers ).

I think it's the voting which makes getting it all in one show difficult. Apparently in the first series the votes for one week were carried forward and combined with the judges points the next week which is a bit cumbersome.

How is it done in Aus with the different time zones and all?

Since week 1, Z has been the odds makers favourite to win except week 7 which had Kellie in the lead. Nice because I thought that after last week , her odds would have lowered but no they didnt .

I still think anyone can take it though . and that its mostly between kellie and Zendaya battling for 1st or 2nd. Kellie has a better chance of winning this than Jacoby or Aly imho.

I think that some people really overestimate Jacoby or Aly fanbases and really underestimate Kellie and Z's fanbase. I bet that the latter have more votes than the other 2.

Thanks for this, not a bad show.....at least they kept on task this week and I think Henry was a great contributor to this show....Suri was very quiet. Still not keen on Anna I hope Henry does appear on our next season of DWTS...sounds promising. Wonder if Gleb will join him This is the first bit of Aussie DWTS news that I have heard. I like Kat's short DWTS videos....although I am not keen on her choice of words at times. I read this either way. Did she feel bad for the plight of the "sick DWTS finals star" or did she feel bad that she was not able to film it. Guess we will never know


I did not know that SCD used to have an all in 1 show...hmm, interesting. Here in Australia - it goes something like this. Week 1 all celebs dance, no elimination on the night. All celebs voting numbers are given and we are able to vote at the end of the show via phone/text all week right up until the start of week 2 show.....week 1 and 2 scores tallied and viewer votes are calculated and someone is eliminated on the night and so it continues. All voting lines close at the commencement of the show. The time zone has been a problem here with Western Australia being behind 1 and a half to 2 and a half hours (daylight savings times) They have to wait for the show to be screened there....There has been this "not fair" that the Eastern states get more time to vote, but when you can vote all week, I think it works out in the end. I may be wrong . I am not a prolific voter, but if I like someone in particular, they will get a few extra votes. There are some very zealous fans in DWTS and they sometimes feel very aggrieved when things do not go their way...it is all tv fun for me, nothing more. Gosh, I can rabbit on

-Z wont do the rumba

So why is Z being singled out once again ? Because Im starting to read elsewhere about how convenient it is that she wont have to do it. Whatever.....The other finalists also didnt have to do one traditional latin dance..so that argument about " favoritism " is invalid !!!

Another thing so the judges choose the samba for Aly and Z to re-do...which is interesting so do they use the same choreography or is it a new one ? Like in season 14 where katherine had to re-do her paso with a new choreography for the finale ?

-Z samba on week 4 was great (one of my favorite dances of hers ) and she scored a 26. Len didn't like the beginning though but I loved it; I don't think she should change it because it was basically the essence of the dance imo but if she wants a 9 or a 10 from Len , Val will have to change it.

-Aly samba on week 5 with the trio .I dont remember Aly's score but Im pretty sure it was a 25 or 26. She lost a bit of steam towards the end of the routine but the energy was there though.

I wonder how they are both going to score on those routines

Now that we have more info I looked at the dances for the finale and gave my thoughts:

In the first round, each couple will take on a new routine in a dance style that the judges would like to see again.

Aly & Mark: Samba (per her blog)
Kellie & Derek: Quickstep (based on the above video)
Jacoby & Karina: Quickstep??? So that the dances are even maybe?
Zendaya & Val: Samba (per a tweet from Zendaya)

-The press release says a new routine so I'm guessing new music & costumes but probably alot of the same steps/moves they have already learned. Kellie does well in dances in hold so I think if Jacoby has Qstep Kellie will score higher. Between Z & Aly I think Z will score higher with stronger technique.


In round two, the couples will be challenged to a Cha Cha relay, where each pair dances to a different section of the same song.

I think Z had the strongest technical cha cha and will likely score high on this one.

Freestyle:????? No comment until I've seen them!

The fourth-place couple will be eliminated within the first hour of the show, and in a final element of the competition, the three remaining couples will perform a new routine in an “Instant Dance”– where they will tackle a style they know, but to music given to them for the first time live on television.

Wondering if the producers will choose a dance that plays to the couples strengths or weakness for this dance? Kellie & Zendaya will probably be fine with whatever dance they are given since they are both strong dancers. This might weed out (Jacoby or Aly)???

The redo is a new routine, though isn't it? ... so they wouldn't just be repeating the same...

I'm glad she's she doesn't have jive. We've seen her do it twice already. For the same reason, I hope Jacoby doesn't get it (2 jives plus a lindy from him so far). Bit peed off that Aly has the Samba as this will be her 3rd outing at that dance (if you include team samba).

There's going to be more repetition with them all having cha cha and then on Tuesday they'll be dancing a style they know ... so even more repetition. There's really no reason anyone in the final should be missing a dance style - seems to be plenty of time for multiple cha chas etc.

(all of that said, I think the 24 hour/instant challenge is a good test. I think Aly may struggle with unfamiliar music if she makes it to Tuesday because of her difficulty hearing the counts)


ETA: I see now that dondfan was meaning she's disappointed that they won't be re-doing fave dances per se (as opposed to being disappointed with the judges choice for dance style) .
