He was supposed to have died in a bar in the toilets after taking too much heroin and was brought back to his apartment and put in the bath to make look like he died in the bath..
Terrible. Just terrible. He wasn't supposed to have died at all. How can you say that?

Are you actually being serious?

I'm seriously not.

But what with what the rest of that post has to "contribute" I thought I'd make fun of the semi-coherent bit so as not to get seriously serious (didn't realise he was bi-sexyul, dick size ouch, the 27s, JFK & Lincoln, Kurdt con$piracy).

And then there is this kind of utterly ridiculous attention-seeking nonsense too:

Glorified pub singer and The Doors were an awful band.
So I thought I'd join in on the lunacy and absurdity.

He was supposed to have died in a bar in the toilets after taking too much heroin and was brought back to his apartment and put in the bath to make look like he died in the bath..something like that I just read his biography and can't remember the exact rumours, his girlfriend was hiding something anyway but she died only a few years after him so nobody will ever know the truth.

He had put on weight before he died but he had lost some weight in paris and was looking a bit better.
He was bi-sexual which I didn't realise and he always wanted anal sex with his girlfriends, and he was supposed to have been a big lad, the poor girls!

He seemed very messed up in the head, I think the book hints at something happening to him when he was younger that made him a bit mad. He was another one of the celebs that died at the age of 27, I always find that freaky that so many singers died at that age, and most of their deaths are suspicious in some way, lots of stories about Hendrix too and that he was murdered.
You just never know, dead pop stars are worth a lot of money, just look how much money Nirvana made when Kurt (another one aged 27) died, it does make you think.
I think the club toilet theory came many years later when one of his "friends" released another book. We'll never know the truth, but I guess the most likely explanation is that he died of an overdose in the bath of his home in Paris. Everything else seems a bit far fetched and too many people wanted to make money by "revealing the truth about Jim Morrison" when only his girlfriend Pam Courson could really comment on what had happened that night.

I've never heard that he was bi-sexual or about anal sex I think one of his ex-girlfriends said he fell asleep on her and wasn't a very satisfying lover due to drugs and booze, but she could have just been a jealous cow

Nice to know that The Rolling Stones didn't exist.
That's why I said "US".

Or Elvis, Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis.
Those were different sounds to "The Doors" though.

I don't think he was bisexual but he was certainly a 'backdoor man'. (I'm sorry, I had to!). I remember reading in the bio about him seeing some waitress that let him do do it with her and him bragging to anyone that would listen about it.

Marianne Faithfull was going out with the dealer - Jean de Breteuil- who supplied ol' Jimbo with his last fix. Some of the more up to date Morrison death conspiracies have said they were at the flat when he died or were the last people to see him alive, but I'm pretty sure it's all pish like the other theories.

I've never got really into him but then again I've only ever listened to a few songs. If anyone would like to recommend an album I should start with then I'd appreciate it.

I love Patti Smith and she spoke about him in her book "just kids"

BIB - wasn't that the count who was dating Jim's girlfriend Pam Courson? I've read somewhere that Pam moved to Paris to live with him for about six months before Jim Morrison joined her.

Really? Evidence suggests otherwise.

There was talk that Jim had been abused as a child, maybe that's why he had such a strange attitude towards sex.

Sorry of course, I forgot about that! He was with Pam on and off for a while but he hooked up with Marianne at some point and was with living with her in Keith Richards housein London for a bit, and with her in Paris when Jim died.

I must dig out that book again, my memory's not what it used to be!

It would also go to some way to explaining why he hated his parents so much and 'killed them off' in interviews. Can't say I blame him if it's true.

Yes, the anal bit was in the Janis Joplin book. He was out of his head and raped her anally.

Jim and Grace Slick boffed away on a bed of strawberries in 1968. What a hot hook up. They were the most beautiful rock stars around

Is this story untrue then?..

"His meeting with Janis Joplin was a classic. Around this time Paul Rothchild decided he should get Morrison and Joplin together since he was working with both of them. He described what happened to Blair Jackson in Bam Magazine: 'I thought here's the King and Queen of rock 'n' roll. They should meet. So I got them together at a party in Hidden Hills. They both showed up sober and are getting along great. Jim is fascinated by this remarkable girl and of course Jim was also a fascinating guy and really good-looking. Janis loved to ****. That was her single greatest pastime. She saw this hunk of meat [Jim] and said, 'I want that.' Jim would get drunk most days and this was no exception and as usual he got rude, obnoxious, and violent. He turned into a cretin, a disgusting drunk. And Janis, who was a charming drunk, was really put off by him. Well, the more Janis rejected him, the more Jim loved it. This was his kind of match. Janis finally said to me, 'Let's get out of here,' and we went to the band station wagon that she always drove. Jim came staggering over. He reached into the car and started to say something and she told him to **** off. She wasn't interested anymore. Jim wasn't going to take no for an answer, though, and he reached into the car and grabbed Janis by the hair. Well, she picked up a bottle of Southern Comfort she had, reached out of the car, and wailed him on the head with it. He was out cold. The next day, I saw Jim in rehearsal and he said to me, 'What a great woman! She's terrific! Can I have her telephone number?' He was in love. Physical confrontation was his thing. He loved violence. I had to say, 'Jim, Janis doesn't think it would be a good idea for you two to get together again.' And they never did. He was crushed."

So many conflicting accounts of their lives.
