Cook everything from scratch. Make something nice for dinner then take leftovers for my lunch at work the next day.

Even make things like bread, granola and ice cream.

Love baking as well but with work that's strictly a weekend thing really.

I like savoury but adore cakes and puddings so would plump fir sweet

Cook most of our meals from scratch. Things like stews, casseroles, stirfries, grilled meats and fish, rice, sometimes veggie recipes.

I don't make my own custard and we don't eat sweet things so I don't make cakes and biscuits. We don't eat bread either.

Hi duchesse.
I retired in 2008 up until which OH was "the cook". I loved several of the food programmes and as OH continued working I started to take over.
I started with soups and it went from there.
I'll never forget the sound of her coming through the door shouting "I'm starving, what are we having and when?"
Today I do most of the cooking and we food shop together.
I love prepping a meal from scratch and love getting all the ingredients laid out ready for the "off".
I have two sets of really good knives (Japanese and German) and they are kept well protected.
Tonight I made a turkey thigh (on the bone) tagine and this week I made a Peppercake (interesting).
I'm a savoury person but make really good cheesecakes.
I've done a 10 week Indian cookery course but now stick to one very dependable recipe as OH prefers a very mild curry.
I've become far more knowledgeable and aware about what I eat and I love genuine farm shops and markets.
It's become a major interest.

Cheese and Fruit... particularly when Comice Pears are in season. A nice nutty Cheddar or Mature Stilton goes well with Pears.

I nearly always cook from scratch. I do enjoy it but whenever possible I'll double up the portions and freeze some so I can have a day off from cooking. I don't like takeaways and can't even remember the last time we had one. Some ready meals aren't too bad but I just couldn't afford to live on them as most would be just a snack to my OH. He eats like a horse but still maintains a BMI of 23. I like savoury things so I have absolutely no interest in baking cakes or making desserts.
