Hey, I have a great idea for a corrie storyline. The Full Fanny. The local firewoman decides to do a 'full fanny' strip to raise money for a mens cancer charity. Unfortunately, she gets food poisoning from one of Betty's Hotpots, so all the guys look to find another woman to replace her. Shaun suggests a male strip but is quickly rebuked by Eileen saying THAT would be sexist and objectification.

Sally says she is too old but asks Sophie if she will do the full fanny for charity. Sophie looks uncomfortable until Sally suggests she may have an inferior vagina and perhaps she should have asked a real women in view of her being a lesbian. Outraged, Sophie agrees and books in to see Audra for a Brazilian.

Meanwhile Sally is on a mission to get the women of Weatherfield to expose their genitals for charity. Using all the methods she can including notions of over large, saggy or tiny vaginas as something to hide and shame the girls into getting it out for the cancer charity. Sophie meanwhile is making lewd comments to the local women and assures them that she would be happy to see them do the full fanny in that oh so masculine way lesbians do. At the same time, the men are looking a their girlfriends and looking at the forbidden triangle and make innuendoes about something to hide.

Ken is in the Kabin and offers to do a casting couch audition for Sunita. Best of all, he asks Tracey to do it and uses the notion of charity as a shaming tool to get her to agree. Tracy agrees.......

Any takers?

Of course not. The whole stupid storyline is exceptionally offensive. Men being coerced into exposing themselves even mothers to their own sons for gods sake. Whilst I appreciate British soaps are just plain gay, this gay man finds this storyline sexist and offensive. It just proves to me that the notion of a mans privacy is something that can be bypassed and justified by the mutterings and stupid notions of women.

Pathetic ITV. A sinking ship me thinks.

A bit over the top. Though you do put across some points, it's comedy if males are shamed into getting their kit off on stage - e.g. Eileen in the cab office insinuating that Steve has "something to hide" in order to get him on stage.

Imagine a role reversal, Steve trying to force some girl to get her kit off on stage, insinuating that her body wasnt perfect. People probably think "Oh, they're only men" which kinda defeats the whole idea of gender equality.

On the other hand, at least they don't have to go FULL monty, and it is for charity afterall (in the context of the show).

It sure wasn't written by a woman. No way would a woman write a storyline about egging her son on to strip. Bizarre!

Not even when said mother is fully well aware that the same (straight) son happily got his kit off and cavorted around on stage in his thong to win the Mr. Gay Weatherfield title?

Lol! I have to say the post is funny! I never thought about how wierd it is for Eileen asking Jason to do the fully monty and show his bits, but yes the OP is right it is!

My favourite part of the post is Ken, and the Sunita casting couch bit! Scarey mental images! Oh errrr!

I don't think Eileen would object to him stripping. I just don't think a mother would want to be in the audience shouting 'get them off' to her own son. I really don't

strange how females say its a bad post. That is evidence of the small minded and immature attitude towards male privacy. Seen more recently in the wink bing and jackpot bingo adverts. I say to females, come on.... get the full fanny out for the lads. I'm sure dads won't mind. Anyone got it yet? And yes... way too gay.

Somebody got the point. Come on women. Aren't you supposed to be on top of this gender equality thing. Oh wait. Like the street itself... its one way!

you mean like back in the 60's when game shows used to feature 'hostesses' wearing little more than bikinis? or sell cars with a near naked woman draped over the bonnet? Or when Angela Rippon danced on Morecambe and Wise to prove she had legs?
or page three in the Sun?

It is Eileen and Jason we're talking about...Jason is the type who would think nothing of wandering around the house starkers after a shower looking for a towel regardless of who was there.
How many times has he come home too without his clothes after being kicked out of someone's bed?!
Eileen has seen it all and takes no notice, though I agree it is still kind of disturbing
