I'm ok at it. No expert but could cook up something you'd like. What about you?

Love cooking - used to do it for a living so I'm quite good at it I think? Although I'm not really into baking/pastry stuff as I don't have a particular taste for cakes/puddings.

Im not bad, though currently in a rut with my repertoire. I'd really love to go on a residential cookery course to brush up.... but I'm afraid to do it because I'd be scared of getting the level wrong. They're quite expensive - too expensive to turn up only to find they're teaching something basic like making a bechamel... or conversely, teaching something really gourmet and complicated.

i'm rubbish. i can cook average normal meals like roasts, slow cooker stuff and fry up breakfast. i made a load of veggie pasties and they were ok. every single one was different but they are a decent snack. im trying to do jamie olivers 15 minute meals and i think ive made a few that are ok. my husband loves the bashed chicken in jamies book. my problem is, i always think ive done it wrong. doh. i brought a load of spices back from india. now im struggling to get the balance right and it seriously isnt easy. but its fun trying.

I just posted about this on another thread and can't find it!
I retired in 2008 but OH had to continue. I started cooking and now do most of it.
I'll try my hand at anything.
The first thing I did with a pal back then was a LA ten week evening cookery course - North Indian cuisine.
Now I just stick to one basic recipe and tweak it as OH can't do too much heat.
Wednesday I'm off to a cookery school morning followed by 3 course lunch and we've booked B&B.
Welsh lad and katy - go do it.
Talk to them first and go in at a challenging level.
There'll be nothing worse than finding you're dumbing down.
I did an "intermediate" photography class to find there were five newbies and we pandered to them.
I'd rather be just out of my depth and learn one really challenging dish.

I love it. I'm no commercial chef, but i can make nice tasting food from scratch without a recipe. I just dont do restaurant presentation.

I think I'm ok. Everyone who eats my food loves it. I put in lot of attention to detail. I take a long time though, and I need to practise at getting everything ready at the same time. I really love cooking though.

I love cooking, I enjoy experimenting but I love reading cook books and menus. I'm a bit obsessed with menus actually, sometimes I sit and browse restaurants websites just reading menus.

..ha! ha! I do that too

If I am in the right frame of mind I really enjoy cooking, so then I will cook loads of stuff and freeze it for the days when I can't be bothered.

I'm extremely good at cooking the limited number of dishes I know (including some very complicated Indian curries from scratch). However, I need to expand my repertoire.

I also pick up new recipes very quickly.

However, I just don't enjoy cooking at all. I would rather tidy, do the laundry, iron...almost anything else.

I love cooking. I would rate myself as good in cooking. My friends and family like my cooking. But i tend to make most of my dishes spicier than i wish. So i still have to learn a lot. I'm good at cooking south indian dishes, would like to explore and experiment other country cuisines. I like chinese, always try to make at home, but would end up with average or poor results. Average at baking,Italian cuisines,Thai dishes.
