Clara's/Oswin's Accents

Have you noticed that Clara's accents are a little different in each episode she has been in so far?

Oswin- Dalek
Miss Montague- posh
Clara- cockney

as the series progresses will she have a variation of accents?

What's a 'Dalek' accent?

As long as she doesn't end up with an Eastenders style accent I don't mind!

If she goes all Rab C Nesbitt then I'll need subtitles.

"Ah burh da flu kerrrr, wi obby?" — Rab C Nesbitt, as per TEDR's perception.

Jenna does give Clara/Oswin nice accents, she speaks in a nice clear tone.

I think modern day Clara has pretty much the same accent as Oswin.

As Jenna comes from Blackpool. I was hoping for a more northern accent - more like Lucie. But she seems to be talking posh.

I've been practising the line Clara's says in The Bells of St John so when the episode is shown I can join in.

It's actually quite fun to say it in different accents.

"Doctor Who?" said in a Sandydune accent.

I loved her accent in Asylum. So cute and brilliant! I want that to be her voice all the time.

That'll be because she's been a different Clara in each episode she has been in so far...

No, because she's the same Clara from now on so why would her accent randomly change? It changed before because they were different people. I don't see the confusion.

If she could do the whole series in Oswin's 'announcer' voice, that would be great.

The Doctor-"Clara?"
Clara- "Doctor, please keep those thoughts to yourself, not the time or place, duty calls"

It would be interesting as Jenna is very good at accents and getting into character for the parts she plays.
